Growler courtesy of drabmuh. Served in Tired Hands stemware. Nice pine and fruit. No anise. Dry. Quite bitter. Light-medium body. Love the Simcoe. Really refreshing and easy to drink. Damico (3147) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 23, 2012
Growler from Tom, thanks dude. Pours a nice golden amber color with a white head. Aroma brings notes of the Simcoe hops, bitter and sweet and smooth along with vague anise and booze in the background, right on the money for a single IPA. The nose gets even more pleasant and herbal as the temperature goes up. The flavors start with some light bitter hops, tad bit of lime, and some herbal notes overall that end light and smoothly. callmemickey (4549) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 17, 2012
Clear pale golden body. Moderate size puffy white head. Spotty lacing. Nose is a clean grapefruit and pine nose showcasing simcoe and a hint of anise. Flavor is a slight drop off with the hops mellowing out and the anise seeming slightly out of place. The body is a little thin at seven percent and could use a bit more carbonation. A bit underwhelming. reggiedunlop (3725) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 14, 2012
Pours a clear golden/orange honey color with a medium creamy white head. ..lively with nice retention. Aroma is very herbal...i wouldnt place it if i hadnt known there was anise. Flavor is herbal with mild pine notes creeping in. Mouthfeel is medium and silky with a dry herbal/piney finish.
