Weird. Flowery/herbacious in the nose, with a light berry tartness in the middle but a very medicinal quality. Didn’t like it initially, then it grew on me, and then by the end of my 10oz I had rebelled against it entirely. Curious beer, above-average but nowhere near great.
hazy amber, thin steady white head. Lightly peppery floral notes all over nose, reminiscent of recent mediocre cuvée des fleur. Flavor equally floral to start, earthy with clay and grass mid before a stinging orange whack alongside sugar and honey, petals down the hatch. Thick body obfuscates floral delicacies, mishmash of herbaceous bitterness and sugars that ends in an estery duval-esque blanket. tcane7 (1674) - Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 6, 2013
On draft at the brewpub. Pours hazy amber with frothy white head and some soapy lace. Nose of berries, pepper, dark fruit, yeast, spice. Medium body. Taste is fruit, spice, elderflower. TheEpeeist (3709) - Media, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 1, 2013
Day old growler from the source. Foggy orange brown with purple tints. Nose is yeast, faint blackberry and toffee. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Taste is custard, faint blackberry, again, and toffee with a white pepper finish. Not so much fruit but still a solid saison. nimbleprop (8382) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - DEC 1, 2013
4oz pour at the brewery. Pours a hazy orangey amber with some cloudy, white head. Nose has plenty of berry and grape, yeast, a little booze, perfume, herbs. Flavor is candy sweet, malt, berry wine, a little pinot gris, herbs. Slightly sweet finish.

on draft at Tired hands brewpub. Pours murky copper with lasting, creamy off-white head. Aromas of plum, dark fruit, Belgian spice, blackberry, and malt. Flavor is the same as aroma, very grape forward with some light spicing, medium to fuller bodied saison with light carbonation. Booze was well hidden, but I’m not too keen on this one. callmemickey (4543) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 30, 2013
Hazy orange body, medium white head, soapy lacing. Floral notes dominate with some light yeast and grain contributions. I’d have trouble picking out the underlying fruity character as being blackberries without knowing they were in there. Medium bodied, mellow carbonation, finish is a little weak. reggiedunlop (3725) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 29, 2013
Pours a hazy orange/lt amber with a medium white head. Aroma has a flowery almost chamomile note...notable blackberry undertones. Flavor has just a hint of spice and nice mild blackberry withoyt sweetness or tartness...light earthy hops and nice subtle spice...tough to describe as I’m not overly familiar with elderflowers though they seem to lend a mild chamomile note here as well. Mouthfeel is medium and lively with a nice slightly spiced chamomile/mild berry finish.
