Pale reddish brown with a paperthin head. Aroma of funk, red wine and oak. Taste follows with some sweetness and strawberry notes. Smooth and easy to drink. Pretty amazing!

Pours a deep reddish brown color with a thin, wispy off white head. Nose startles you at first with how funky and tart it is. Brett, red wine, faint fruit, spicy yeast, and lightly tannic. Flavor has much less funk than the nose, instead has a spicier, grains of paradise and malt base with a sweeter fruit finish, strawberry and red wine (though not overly oaky or tannic). Medium thick body, well carbonated and a dry, slightly funky finish. Very interesting beer, I’d love to try this with more age.

UPDATED: JUL 10, 2012 hazy pale-ruby/ ruddy brown color. sea foam-like head, white-cream colored.nose of young brett; indications of grass, earth, fruit skins, and slight peppery-fruit spice laced within the oak. flavors are mellow and balanced, clean, dry brett-fruit, strawberries, herbal honey, and vanilla-oak. dry, slightly peppery, almost too thin, but the flavors and aromas do well in a lighter bodied beer.

Damico (3146) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 9, 2012
Pours hazy orange amber with a bright white head, quite beautiful for the style. The aroma brings wild saison yeast and light berry notes. The flavor brings light berry as well with grain and wheat notes, a bit lighter which is right on for the style. Pleasant flavors on a good body for a biere de garde as well.

reggiedunlop (3726) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 29, 2012
Pours a hazy pale amber with a thin tan head. Aroma had nice mild bretty funk and mild wine...tart...very faint strawberry...took me a while to figure out what i was smelling. Flavor has some musty spice...grains of paradise...with some light fruitiness but not sweet...faint bretty funk. Mouthfeel is light/medium and the finish is dry with light peppery notes and mild funk.

Pour from a growler gave a copper amber color with a thin off white head. The smell was funky, earthy brett notes with faint berry in the back. Light to medium body. Flavors of light berries, wine, oak, and light hops. The finish is on the drier side and interesting and complex. Good beer.

Hazy orange brown color with a medium sized, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of vanilla, wood, red wine, spices, caramel. And some nuts. Taste of caramel, nuts, vanilla, wine wood, spices, and a dry, slightly funky finish.
