Tap. Aroma: spice, hint of pepper, some caramel, slightly earthy, bit of citrus. Reddish orange pour, slight haze, big mousse white head, excellent retention and lacing. Flavor is spicy, bready malts, toast, some caramel and toffee, bit of orange and lemon, low bitterness, grass. Mellow and drinkable, nice dry finish. Medium body and carbonation, very smooth. Nice brew.

On tap at Tired Hands. Misty orange with a foamy white head. Nose is clay, grass and honey; odd. Medium body, resiny, sudsy carb. Taste is very earthy, barely sweet with citrus peel and grass. Not what i’d expect for a BDG.

Hazy deep straw color, off white head. Aroma is oatmeal malts, caramel, some funky notes. Aroma is bisquity malts, slightly tart, spicy lemon, bitter hops, funky, grapey. A very nice Biere de Garde!

Tap at Tired Hands. Pouring a full haze, glowing orange. Thick buttercream foam. Nose is very soft pumpkin pie, whipped cream. Taste is delicate, soft, some sweetness, some nutty bitterness...moving to pumpkin pie souffle and heavier roasted walnuts and chestnuts. Really simple and delicious. Would not describe it as a "pumpkin ale", but the moderate nutmeg and cinnamon spicing makes me go in that direction.

Pours clearer golden orange in color with a decent white head. The aroma brings light zesty citrus from the Cascade hops, some tangy fruitiness, and some buttery yeast notes. The flavor brings the biere de garde yeast, buttery malts, and just as described the autumnal foliage (almost like squash or pumpkin).

Lightly lazy, dark golden color with a medium sized, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of toffee, some toasted notes, spices, and light citrus. Taste was much of the same, less citrus and a bit more spices.

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2013 Hazy golden orange bodty. Medium white head. A dash of lacing. Nose contains light caramel and biscuit malts. Apple fruitiness, a little earthy spice. Flavor is similar but their is a contribution of berry like fruitiness -- I struggled to identify what exact berry I am getting. Medium bodied, assertive carbonation, light bitterness, rounded finish.

Pours hazy honey color with a medium creamy white head...nice lacing and color. Aroma has a musty funky earthiness. Flavor follows suit...adds a subtle peppery note and nice bitterness. Mouthfeel is light and the finish is earthy and bitter.
