Gangstergafje (1184) - Capelle aan den IJssel, NETHERLANDS - JUN 25, 2017
25-06-2017; bottle; at home (bought somewhere in San Marino). The looks of the beer is nice. It rather looks like a pale lager that a Belgian Ale. The color of the beer is a nice golden yellow. The beer has a nice cloudiness, but it is not extremely cloudy. On top of the beer a nice layer of soft white foam is formed, with quite good retention. The smell of the beer is nice. It has a nice malty base, rather delicate, with strong hoppy aromas on top of it. It is not really Belgian Ale like, but it is very nice. There are nice citrus aromas, some herbs to. Rather simple smell, but very good and refreshing. Great in simplicity. The taste of the beer is also quite nice. Nice maltiness, with a touch of bread and some hints of anise in the distance. There is also a nice hoppy flavour, with some citrus and grassiness. I like it, it is well balanced. The yeasts give the beer a slight Belgian Ale flavour. There is just that slightly sour touch of Belgian yeast. Nice. The palate is good. Medium body, smooth and high carbonation. The finish of the beer is nice. Nice maltiness and hoppiness, Rather full finish. I like this one. Good first beer from San Marino.

Clear deep glowing golden color with a big off white head. Nice lacing. Decent intensity in the aroma. Medium (+) body and an average carbonation level. Mellow sweetness and a decent bitterness. Caramel malt, fruity, mild yeast profile and herbal hoppy flavor. Decent easy drinkable beer.

(Bottle, 0.5 l, at pre HBF2017 Saturday tasting) The beer poured golden and rather cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had metal and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, metal, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. A sweet brew with harsh bitterness.

500ml bottle - thanks VastActiv and courier Jenna!
Murky orange, has some floaty speckles. Watery, vague sweetish malts. Messy malty taste, watery, some dirty dusty hops. A bit amateurish and homebrewy, but just about passable - no worse than the macros.

jookos (6908) - FINLAND - OCT 31, 2016
Bottle, thx vastactiv&jenna! Amber orange haze. Weaky nose, faint orange zest, light nalts. Light med bodied, med bittered. Dry oranges, dryish malty. Bit weak, not saying much. Easy tho.
