Probably one of their best, this has no body but boasts a fantastic smell of roasted chestnuts and cinnamon. The flavor doesn’t fall too short either, sweet and spicy. Smooth. Weak body, tho. kseecs16 (1216) - Naperville, Illinois, USA - APR 17, 2009
Draught at the pub. Nearly opaque mahogany with reddish hues. Foamy light cocoa head that leaves no lacing. Aroma iis mild roasted malt and toffee. Flavor roasted malt, chocolatey and a bit of pecan. Mediuk bodied. Fairly dry, not sweet. A light bitter roast finish.

Dark brown colour body, significantly malted, with chocolate malt, licorice and root beer and nutty like. A bit of roast, and of hop. Not a bad brown. daknole (11048) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - DEC 15, 2008
Tap from sampler. A really good nut brown. Nice brown pour, small head. aroma is full of nuts, whole grain bread, yeast, honey and caramel. Flavor is better than I expected. Some great nutty flavors, caramel malts, some hops presence and a nice mouthfeel. I enjoyed this. Ibrew2or3 (8913) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - NOV 1, 2008
On tap at the brewpub. Pours clear amber to brown with frothy tan to mocha head and full on thick cobweb lacing. The aroma has a varied malt attack with roasted malts, biscuit malts, bread, mild chocolate malts and just a hint of vague hops. The taste is full on roasty malts with medium roasted malts, some biscuit and solid (and tasty) chocolate malts all coming together in harmony. I really like the addition of chocolate malts in this beer. It goes very well with the rest of the flavor. Some of the rest being a light amount of oxidation and some pine hops. Good stuff.

Overall – A very nice beer. I liked the nutty flavor this would be a great beer with dinner.
Medium brown. Pleasant if light nutty aroma with a hint of chocolate. Full, complex, nutty flavour. Layers of nut, light milk chocolate and a hint of earthy bitterness. Nicely balanced. unclemattie (4406) - Georgia, USA - APR 2, 2008
draft sampler. Medium amber color, off-white creamy head, Aroma of rich toffee, and toasted malts. Deep nutty flavor. Caramel. Roasted nuts. Dry finish adds to the thirst quenching character of this beer. Medium bodied. Beershine (5253) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 13, 2007
UPDATED: OCT 3, 2008 A sweetish example of a nutbrown that thankfully does not become cloying. It’s not my favorite beer style but this is a decent execution of it. Drinkable, solid, clean, sessionable.
Re-rate Feb 08: Pours hazy medium brown with solid lacing. Nary a nose to be found, perhaps some freshly washed tin can. Good caramel character with a lingering roasted malt aftertaste. Good hopping to balance the pecan and walnut flavors. Better than I remembered or an improved version.
