Bottle. Reddish-brown with next to no head. Hopped with a sweetness and a touch sticky, leading to a small bitterness. minutemat (5396) - Shrewsbury, Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 7, 2014
Cask @ Montgomery’s Tower, Shrewsbury. Pours mahogany brown, boasts some strong malts with slight alcohol hint alongside some citrus notes and a bitter finish. Nothing mindblowing. BOBBDrinker (67) - - MAR 28, 2014
A strong deep brown ale with a tint of red chestnut when held to light, it has a full head and needed to be allowed to settle a first but this gave the aroma time to develop. A hoppy citrus/mango aroma which is mellowed by the malts invited you in. On the tongue there is a battle between the hops and malt, what would be an intense hoppy bitter is reduced to a pleasant and well balanced premium ESB, with just enough alcohol to add the sweetness and warmth this beer needs. A perfect blend of malt, hop and strength. Bamsen78 (5336) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - MAR 28, 2014
Bottle. Pours clear copper brown with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, fruit and flowers. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with subtle malty and fruity touches. Bitter aftertaste. OK. Not watery, which is good for the style. Not bad. joe19612 (2897) - camberley, Surrey, ENGLAND - MAR 1, 2014

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours chestnut brwon with a thin off-white head, which doesn’t hang around. Aromas of toffee malt, light metallic notes, some citrus hops. Taste brings more hoppiness, at the orange end of things. Medium body, creamy texture, little sticky at the end. Good. ElectroMod (127) - - JAN 13, 2014
Bottle from The Royal Exchange, Stone. Pours a dark amber colour with an off white head. Aroma is nutty and roasted malt, with biscuit and caramel in the back. Taste is malty and hoppier than the aroma, sweet to start and then a nice bitter finish. Tasty! Quack-Duck (9484) - Down South, GERMANY - DEC 28, 2013
bottle from Tuckers Maltings. Golden colour, off-white head. Very fruity, mainly tropcial fruit, some resiny-grassy hops. Nice. Pizd (435) - Merseyside, ENGLAND - NOV 27, 2013
(Bottle): Pours a dark amber, medium off white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, floral, wood, slight soap. Flavour is quite malty, hints of fruit and lemon zest, floral notes and a nice bit of bitterness that fades into the finish. Quite a nice bitter, nothing special but nice. Cask at Lyric, Soho. It pours deep amber-brown with a medium beige head. The nose is wood, caramel, earth, dirt, varnish and dried fruit. The taste is caramel, wood, leather, varnish, leaf, peppery, toast and decent bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Good balance. Robust. A nice example of the style.
