Aroma: honey, molasses, bread and cereal. Appearance: dark clear amber, medium creamy white head. Taste: medium sweet. Palate: malty sweets expand, caramel, getting a bit dry in the average-long finish. Overall: excellent ESB, great aroma and palate. Pint at the Cheshire Cheese, Buxton.

Cask @ Salhojankadun Pub
My first cask ale. No head at all, clear amber colour. Aroma and flavor have gooseberry, red currant and metal. Slight bite of bitterness. Medium full and flat palate. Doesn’t smell, look, taste or feel like a beer at all. Dunno, maybe I don’t get cask ales.

garthicus (2945) - Dublin, IRELAND - APR 19, 2014
Bottle. Dark brown red, thick off white head. Aroma: grassy, a hint of malt, quite mute. Flavour: malty, a little raspberry, dark fruit, yeast, nice long bitter grassy finish.

ManVsBeer (10953) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - APR 18, 2014
Bottle. Reddish-brown with next to no head. Hopped with a sweetness and a touch sticky, leading to a small bitterness.

minutemat (6063) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 7, 2014
Cask @ Montgomery’s Tower, Shrewsbury. Pours mahogany brown, boasts some strong malts with slight alcohol hint alongside some citrus notes and a bitter finish. Nothing mindblowing.

BOBBDrinker (67) - - MAR 28, 2014
A strong deep brown ale with a tint of red chestnut when held to light, it has a full head and needed to be allowed to settle a first but this gave the aroma time to develop. A hoppy citrus/mango aroma which is mellowed by the malts invited you in. On the tongue there is a battle between the hops and malt, what would be an intense hoppy bitter is reduced to a pleasant and well balanced premium ESB, with just enough alcohol to add the sweetness and warmth this beer needs. A perfect blend of malt, hop and strength.

Bamsen78 (5562) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - MAR 28, 2014
Bottle. Pours clear copper brown with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, fruit and flowers. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with subtle malty and fruity touches. Bitter aftertaste. OK. Not watery, which is good for the style. Not bad.

joe19612 (3074) - camberley, Surrey, ENGLAND - MAR 1, 2014
Bottle. Pours a dark brown colour with a thin white head, malty aroma with some caramel, taste is bitter with fruit and malt with a dry bitter finish.

allmyvinyl (11025) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - FEB 12, 2014
500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours chestnut brwon with a thin off-white head, which doesn’t hang around. Aromas of toffee malt, light metallic notes, some citrus hops. Taste brings more hoppiness, at the orange end of things. Medium body, creamy texture, little sticky at the end. Good.

ElectroMod (127) - - JAN 13, 2014
Bottle from The Royal Exchange, Stone. Pours a dark amber colour with an off white head. Aroma is nutty and roasted malt, with biscuit and caramel in the back. Taste is malty and hoppier than the aroma, sweet to start and then a nice bitter finish. Tasty!
