Cask at The Moon Under Water (JDW), Watford on 22 January 2014. Poured a clear chestnut colour with a thin white head and excellent lacing. Aroma of sweet raisins, Christmas pudding, chewy malt and a Belgian-esque character. Nutty sweet flavour with some rounded, full dried fruit and grain. Finish was Belgian yeast esters, caramel and some dry grain. Very good bitter.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 29/1/2014. Amber with a slight, off-white head. A decent, bitter, with plenty of citrus notes, solid malts and lingering finish. Good.

Cask at JDW Charlie Hall; clear light copper pour with broken magnolia head, fruit and nut aroma, taste is fruity with some zesty citrus, not big on the bitter levels.

Cask @ Lloyds No 1, MK. Orange-yellow, not much head but lots of lacing. Apricot, grapefruit, malt aroma. Taste is middle of the road one-dimensional sour/bitter. Thin palette. Verdict: guilty of failure to deliver the taste promised by the aroma. Not one of Titanics best.

Cask in the Tilley Shilling, Farnborough. A pale amber ale with a white head. A nicely balance beer with both good malt and hop notes. Starts sweetish with caramel and biscuit notes before a more bitter finish with pine. A very decent session brew.

Cask. Bright coppery colour, tight white head. Lovely peachy orangey smell. Tastes light at first, but has a sticky oily mouthfeel. Really nice actually. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Lovely sweet fruity spicy hop aroma - peach to the fore. Tons of honey in the taste. A little sticky, but a nice full-flavoured sweet sipper. I could have this rather than desert!

Cask conditioned handpump Criterion Leicester 30/01/13. A broght copper coloured beer with a white head. Good orangey marmalade aromas from the hops. A decent full bosy with nice balancing malts. Good leafy hoppy mouth. This seems fairly simple but is so perfectly balanced and really very tasty.

BlackHaddock (6974) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JUN 19, 2012
17th Feb 2012: Hand pulled pint in The Wrekin Wellington, Shropshire. Brown/deep amber body colour: off-white almost beige head of foam on top which gave some good heavy lacing on my UK sleeve glass. Pleasant smell: blend of citrusy hops and malty molasses (toffee mostly) with a mini nutty undertone. The taste: More floral than the aromas, with a fairly dry bitter finish; OK more than great. Body depth and feel about right for a UK 4.4% Bitter: another above average brew from a brewery whos beers I enjoy drinking.

[email protected] Oxford, London. Chestnut brown with slight amber notes, small bubbly off-white head. Aroma is caramel, bread, mild nuts as well as resin and wood. Flavour is similar, but also has quite zesty and floral notes to it.
