Cask at Hamilton Hall, JDW - London. Pours clear orange-gold with a frothy, off-white head. Grainy malts in the nose, some honey, marmalade. Light sweet flavour with more simple, lightly toasted grains, leafy hops, vague dried caramel. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly astringent on the finish, with more leafy hops, lightly toasted grains. Very ho hum overall. Towey1989 (3427) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 25, 2017
Cask at The Green Dragon, Leek (JDW) A clear amber colour with a medium off white head. Aroma of caramel, nuts, bready malts, some raisin, slight yeast and subtle spicy hops. Taste of caramel, bready malts, yeast, some raisin and other dried fruits, slight lemon, maybe grapefruit, a little grass and subtle spicy hops. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. A dryish, spicy, grassy hop bitterness in the finish. Wasn’t expecting a beer like this from Titanic. Malty and sweet to begin but turned very yeasty laced with spiced fruit. A weird one but grew to like it more. Something different.

Sampled on draught at The Mossy Well (JDW) in Muswell Hill. A nice copper-coloured bitter. Slightly fruity with grassy hops and a good, bitter finish. A really lovely beer - a good example of a classic cask-conditioned ale. Stuartyboy (1800) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - MAR 17, 2014
