Pours dark with a red tint. Not much head. Smells bitter with hints of dark fruits (raisin, berry). Taste isn’t too great. Sharp sourness with berry. Not much else. Perhaps slight biscuit. Not a very nice bitter. Leaves quite an unpleasant aftertaste.

Cask at the Monk’s Retreat, Reading. Deep amber with an off-white head and a light fizz- decent condition actually. Plum with a little sourness up front; rather dirty straw and a moderate bitterness to finish. Didn’t like the dirty straw.
