Cask at the Moon Under Water (JDW), Watford on 10 June. Very dark pour and coffee and ripe fruit aromas. Very nice, full bodied mouth feel, but easy drinking. matthews hall, walsall. Ruby brown beer with medium head and excellent lacing. Aroma of malts and light caramel. Taste is malts, some lightly roasted malts, a hint of dry coffee, caramel and a dried fruit finish. Very good. A beer I have wanted to try for a few years now.

Cask at the Express Tavern, deep red with a fine head and a faintly winey and woody nose. On the palate it’s dry-sweet, rich and complex, with roasty malt, a touch of coffee, some earthy bitterness and a hint of dark dry cocoa.
