Bottle from Waitrose in Canary Wharf. The first beer while watching the Bahrain Grand Prix. Having had the St Peters version, that was horrible, I was very wary of this beer. It poured perfectly and there was a light aroma of plums when I stuck my nose in the tankard. The fruit was integrated perfectly with the beer and added a layer of gentle sweetness that was well balanced with hops. It was a light texture for a porter, but I won't quibble about a very good beer. There was none of the jaminess that wrecked the St Peters version. I followed it up with 2 London Prides and they struggled to match this pint. And my girls had eaten all of the crisps....... Jultsu (1372) - Gromnik, POLAND - APR 1, 2018
BBE 05 JUL 18. Ruskean punertava väri, niukka hennon huntuisa vaahto. Tuoksu raikas, makea, kaiketi luumuisan ohut? Suutuntuma semikuohuva, raikkaan pistävä, vetinen ja ontto, semikemiallinen kuivan karvas jälkimaku. Ihan juotavan siemailtavaa, tarpeeksi vetinen. PorterPounder69 (17) - - MAR 19, 2018

More hoppy than the St Peters plum porter but the added bitterness they bring is matched by the deep flavour of the plum. A heavy but refreshing porter and I'm glad I got a case of these in for the spring. lokis333 (656) - Birai, LITHUANIA - MAR 10, 2018
Very very deep dark red/black colour with a medium but weak brown-ish foam. Aromas, of sweet plums, hits you in the face sweet like a sweet cider then it is followed by a subtle dark malt roast as well as jam and in a way does have this subtle light malt and light beer hints to it. Palate, medium to light body with the average smooth-ish texture leaving a dry finish. Taste, sweet of plums and hops, has somewhat bitter hop notes, grassy and herbal at the same time not so much of dark malts though. Overall, beautiful aromas, so potent of plum makes me wonder if it's natural or if it has additives? But nice none the less, Palate, bit too light, the taste reminds of a bitter more than a porter, not bad drinkable but could be developed into something more punchy and round.

Color ambarino oscuro, aromas frutales, notas a cereza, sabor cereal seco, notas frutas, cuerpo ligero final seco.
Cask at the dockyard. Nose is sweet plum, fruit tea, orange, carrot. Palate is chocolate, plum, orange. The plum really gets through, pretty good. KentishQuaffer (2) - - FEB 10, 2018 does not count

Yup, that's plum. Sweet plum with some vomit note. Ring of foam, deep bordeaux colour. Dry, average body. Weird feeling of a bitter plum. Hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste overlapping with plum plumness (not sweetness). Some roastiness, but overally the porter notes are not that obvious. Interesting, but not that tasty. puredelusion (446) - Lviv, UKRAINE - JAN 30, 2018
