This beer is dark strong and well rounded; the richness of such a rotund beer is brought to an even keel by the late addition of Goldings hops and natural plum flavouring. Take the opportunity and go for the low hanging fruit, this sumptuous beer really is a plum!

Cask at the George. Very dark red with a creamy off white head. Strong, tart, fruit aroma, plum prominent in the flavour along with some liquorice and a solid malt backbone. Interesting and moreish

Cask at The Bree Louise. Clear dark brown to black colour, thin beige head. Aroma of sweet plums, apricot, jam, very fruity, hint of roast. Flavour is sweet, plum jam, very fruity at first, later on quite dry and bitter, roast, coffee. Light bodied. Tasty.

My favourite beer at Farnham Beer Festival 2017. Surprisingly refreshing for a darker ale. Went down well with everyone in our group. The fruit is very prevalent and adds a interesting dimension to the taste.

A quality porter. You can really taste the plum in this porter which compliments the beer very well. I highly recommended this.

500ml Bottle: Pours a dark brown with ruby highlights and tan head that persists. Lacing. Aroma of peach and apricot sweets with a slight vanilla note. Vanilla and artificial peach on taste. Medium bodied, medium to low carbonation. The bitterness seems out of place due to the artificial flavours present. Overall a huge disappointment.

Bottle - dark with very large frothy tan head. Different plum aroma - strong. Good mouthfeel. Fruity, plum tasting, quite sweet. Not my favourite porter.

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2017 Bottle. Deep brown with a medium tan head. Fruity aroma of plums, strawberries, toffee, biscuit, resin, toast, chocolate, hints of soapy notes. Medium well rounded taste, slightly on the bitter side, roasty smooth bitterness on finish. Light to medium body, medium carbonation, very drinkable. Excellent!

Bottle from Asda, Metrocentre. Very dark brow-red in colour with a thin white head. It has a rich red fruit, plum and currant flavour followed by a bitter-sweet tart fruity and oak finish. Good.

Plum is very apparent, much more so than I expected it to be. Lovely dark ruby colour Aroma Is of stone fruit too. Very minimal head - virtually none. Sweet, almost sugar-y fruit finish with minimal bitterness. Truth be told, it does what it says on the tin and its impressive, but its probably a bit too fruity for me.
