Cask half-pint in The Rocklands Club, Redditch on 16th June 2014. Pours a misty gold with a full white head with a creamy texture. Hop laden brew with a dry front, back and sides. I think it was getting to the end of the barrel as it appeared to be ’on the turn’ somewhat. Scored as if in perfect condition. Beese (3051) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 11, 2014
Cask at the Broad Street Tavern, Wokingham on 8 June. Poured a hazy amber, with a thin, rocky white head. Aroma was fairly light; some caramel, malt and grassy hop. Some citrus fruit initially, followed by grain and then a building bitterness. Finish was really, really dry and bitter, somewhat waxy with unripe fruit and straw. Not altogether unpleasant, mind. On cask at Great British Beer Festival, day 3 on 6 August 2009. Golden amber colour. There’s a smattering of citric hop but it’s not exactly assertive. Perfectly drinkable but I can’t say it made much of an impact - just too many similar beers at this festival and this one didn’t stand out from the crowd.
