Sampled this premium bitter in the Salt Cot, Saltoats (JDW) in September 2005. Cask, handpump dispense. Pale straw in colour with a thin white head. Slight hop note in the short aroma. Slick hop resin in mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt complex giving sweet but tart green apple fruit notes. Dry hoppy aftertaste with a bitter herbal note. Gravity cask at the Bree Louise, London. Pours cloduy gold with light sediment and a few bubbles for a head. Slight, zesty citrus nose. Lightly sweet flavor, some grass and pithy citrus. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Dryish finish, some grass, citrus rind. Average, poor condition.
