July 2017 - Bottle in Hackney. As ’Titanic White Star IPA’. Amber orange, clear and still, foamy off-white head. Aroma is boiled sweets, malt sugars, buttery. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is biscuity, straw, light malts, woody and spicy in the light finish. Quite plain and basic but certainly not offensive. Bottle at home. Golden in colour with a white head and good lacing. Malty aroma with some peppery hop. Sweetish start with a gentle bitterness to balance. Crisp malt notes with some further fruit and hop and a long, dry finish. Good mouthfeel. Better than the sum of it’s parts, a well-crafted tasty pint.
