Bottle at the rake with mes, ian and chris. Alround rating: The cad pulls one out the bag with his super power exstreme memory that others can only marvel at. Big ruby malt character, rich fruit cake, a bit yeasty, no hops. Alround a good effort. harrisoni (18438) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - FEB 2, 2009
500ml bottle at The Rake courtesy of MagicDave6. Ruby, thin white head. It’s a bit syrupy, some red fruits. Not a great, even slightly farty aroma. Syrupy fruits in the mouth. In fact, too syrupy for me. MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 29, 2009
A Mes rate. Bottle from the Rake. An amazing bright ruby colour but no head at all. Nice creamy alcohol and cakey malt. Chunky dark fruit and a pleasing liquidice note. Straight forward but very enjoyable. Ethereal (2421) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JAN 25, 2009
500ml bottle from Nelson Wines. Deep amber / brown. Fruity nose. Rich malt, stewed fruit and warming alcohol in the mouth and a smooth rich palate. It goes down surprisingly fast! Nice stuff. sm89walt (2064) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - DEC 24, 2007
Cask - Fat Cat, Norwich. A reddy brown colour with a slight beige head. Full fruity and tobacco aromas disperse towards the nose along with its noticeable alcohol content. The flavours are warming, a decidedly berry-like fruitiness. Quite a syrupy mouthfeel that saturates the whole palate. This was too sweet in pint form for me but it was a pleasant drink.

Bottled as Christmas ale 2005.A perfect example of what can go wrong with a bottle conditioned ale. Brown appearance with a sour aroma.Initial impressions were not good but got worse.Vinegary is the only way to describe this beer that was just about drinkable. Drinking this was not a very pleasant experience. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAR 1, 2006

Mid brown coloured and strong in alcohol with a fruit aroma. Warming slight hop finish. leaparsons (10504) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - DEC 16, 2005
UPDATED: DEC 18, 2005 As Titanic Christmas Ale. Bottle conditioned. Brewed in 2004, bottled in 2005 (according to the label). Deep mahogony in colour, no head. Aromas are winter fruit with tobacco and a fair amount of smokiness. Also, mollasses and mellow berries. Flavours are soft berries with medicinal, herbal notes. Has a sweet, dark syrup base, mollasses with some earthy woodiness. Sweet, spicy and herbal on the finish. It certainly tastes Xmassy. Quite mouth numbing in its alcohol - or warming. Pretty good. Swirly looking red beer with a strawberry like aroma and a strong and fruity flavour. Overall a good fruity strong ale.
