This sweet malty winter ale has a port-like aroma, oranges and lemons play around the edges of the tongue whilst dried fruit and cinnamon drive home the wonderful warming effect, the walnut aftertaste completes this slice of Christmas time in a glass.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, malt, and some nuts, leading to a dry finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy dark amber with a small tan head. Aroma is fruity hoppy and light roasted malty. Fruity and caramelish flavoured, sweet too. Lingering roasted and sweet finish.

It’s hazy, beautiful red mahogany with a creamy head and the aroma has notes of malt, caramel and tart berries. The flavor is moderately sweet with notes of malt, citrus, slightly tart berries, caramel and the finish is rather dry, probably because of the cinnamon, that I do not find as a note. The aftertaste is long.

Deep red amber with a lasting off-white head. Fruity and spicy aroma with a hnt of funk. Dry and slightly tart malty flavour with caramel and chocolate, some fruit and spice and a mild roasted finish

Cask, Dispensary, Liverpool. Murky brown colour with a thin lingering tan head. Aroma was dark fruit, sweet malt and spices. Similarly sweet, verging on cloying flavour, with notes of toffee, butterscotch, fruits and clove. Boozy finish with some bitterness. All a bit muddled.

Cask at the Wellington; clear chestnut pour with a creamy magnolia head, dark fruit and acidic aroma, taste has light winter spices along with dark fruits, very mince pie, doesn’t work in a warm September.

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is sweet malt and alcohol. The flavour is strong bitter with a rich sweet treacle toffee pudding, over ripe fruit, light spice, resin hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. The hoppy bitterness combined with the alcohol really doesn’t work for me. Not the best beer I’ve had from Titanic.

ManVsBeer (10485) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - FEB 2, 2016
Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Brownish-red in colour with a creamy head. Always with a strength, there’s some robust malts in its nose, with hints of fruit in its nose. It’s mildly tropical fruit is more evident in its taste.
