Draft at Old Fashioned. Filtered orange-amber. Thin off white head. Toasty and fruity, along the lines of a Belgian Singel I’d say. Doughy, mainly carried by the funky, raisiny, pungent sugary fruitiness, peppery tones of the yeast. Mild and drinkable. OK. Juelze (1146) - Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 20, 2011
Pours a coppery color with medium off-white head. Aroma of Belgian spice, yeasty esters, ripe fruit and light spice. Tatse is clove, candied sugar, and Belgian spice with a fruity finish. Alcohol is low for the style. A solid Belgian from Dave and crew. Skyview (6093) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - APR 6, 2011
On draught at the Titletown brewpub in downtown Green Bay, Wisconsin. Pours a clear golden amber colored brew with a touch of copper highlights that followed by a fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind some light lacing. Aroma of typical Belgian yeast, a hint of banana and clove with some tropical fruit in the background. Taste is medium bodied, flavors of a typical Belgian Dubbel without the high alcohol palate. Finish is semi-sweet with some Belgian yeast, wintergreen and some Munich malt aftertaste. A solid Belgian ale over all.
