COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Bohemian pilsner pours deep golden with a dense white head. Rich, complex Moravian barley combines with a pronounced yet soft bitterness and spicy flavor from Bohemian Saaz hops. Invented in Pilsen, Czech Republic in 1842, Bohemian Pilsner is the original style of golden lager upon which most modern beer is (loosely) based.

Clean crisp and not overly bitter. Better than beck and Heineken. Drinkable and deceny.

Bottle. It poured a crystal clear gold color with a white head and nice carbonation. The aroma was malty biscuit with some light fruitiness in the flavor. Light bodied and very clean and smooth.

Picked up a bottle in Wisconsin as part of a build your own 6 pack. A flavorful Pilsner. Nice golden color. Hints of pine and some bitterness on the way down. Not a huge fan of the style, but this does have some decent flavor.

Golden pour. Graham cracker-y pils malt and herbal pine. Flavor is bitter noble pine and citrus with a clean golden malt backing. Mildly sweet with a light mineral and woody pine finish.

Had a sample as part of the epic 14-beer sample flight at the brewpub. Didn’t take formal notes.

Tap. Pours clear yellow with white head. Aroma wheat, lagerish. Taste is crisp and clean, good body for a pilsner, hoppy, bitter finish, a good pilsner.

Draft at Old Fashioned. Yellow-tan. Thin oily head. Pretty solid for a WI Pils, a little more hop presence. A touch buttery, but solid enough hops to balance it out. Peppery, pretty true to style. Respectable..for a WI Pils.

I am a pale ale or IPA guy but once in awhile I enjoy a good old fashioned brew and this is a good change of pace. Pale gold, the aroma is slightly bitter and toasty. The bitterness carries over into the taste but it is far from overpowering. A good thirst quenching beer to have with the boys when you don’t want something fancy, or out of the ordinary.

UPDATED: DEC 23, 2013 Tap at the brewpub. Clear light yellow pour with minimal head. Soft grain nose. More body than I expected based on its visual appearance, and not too carbonated. Buttery grain taste.
