UPDATED: OCT 28, 2017 Backlog. On draft at Mikkeller and friends Reykjavik. Very very hot, heavy and sugary.

330ml bottle from The Edinburgh Cellars pours opaque murky brown-orange with thin foamy head. Sweet hoppy aromas of stone fruit, yeast and a little citrus. Tastes of tropical fruit, apricot brandy, orange rind and herbal character. This beer beautifully marries the intensely fruity hoppy flavour profile IPA with the rich texture and body of a European strong ale. The 9.8% alc vol really benefits this style. Thoroughly enjoyable!

Koelschtrinker (21492) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - JUN 2, 2016
Dunkel malziger, süß hopfiger Antrunk. Der Alkohol ist dabei zu deutlich erkennbar, der Hopfen angesichts des mastigen Geschmacks zu mild. Getreidig alkoholischer Nachhall. 9/7/8/7/9/7

Bottle from Saveur-Biere.com - Color: amber beer with small carbonation and small brownish head. Smell: caramel and resin attack. Not so fruity presence. Brown sugar notes. Taste: full body with caramel malt and resin hops attack. Sweet and resin presence. Good attenuation. Aftertaste: caramel, resin and alcohol. Not well balanced. Not my style.

Miksu (5052) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - APR 20, 2016
0,33 l bottle (cellared for about 18 months), thanks Johannes. Thick aroma of toffee, raisins and some hot alcohol. Full bodied toffeish flavor with orange marmalade, grapefruit and tangerine. Bitter and nutty, toffeish finish. Slightly hot on alcohol. This has aged nicely to a barley wine.

Gurthnar (6201) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - FEB 19, 2016
Bottle at DvaDve. Intense hoppy aromatics. Lots of fruitiness, exotic, resiny. Well balanced in taste. High bitterness and well attenuated. Alcohol initially hidden, showing lightly with warming sensation in the finish. Very good.

biirusaikou (2705) - - JAN 12, 2016
Draught at Brewberry. Rich tropical hop bouquet with mango, passion fruit, pineapple and lovely notes of berries, which I guess was the target, thick body with a long bitter finish. Quite a smooth iipa even though notes of alcohol slowly appear, nice treat for hopheads.
