In Denmark we are very fond of Christmas beers. In fact, most of December goes with drinking Christmas beers while chewing on fat duck, pork roast, red cabbage and herrings left in vinegar for months. Jule M?lk. Our so far strongest beer, bumped up to 15% ABV and loaded and loaded and loaded with lactose, just until it couldn?t get any more heavy. You could say this is the Foie Gras force-feeding edition of a beer. But then again, it is Christmas after all? Malts: Pale, Special B, Melanoidin, Chocolate, Smoked, Dark Crystal, Roasted Barley, Cassonade Sugar, Lactose Hops:Tettnanger, Tomohawk, Sorachi Ace

On tap at The Bottle Shop Bermondsey. Black beer lasting tan head. Spicy vanilla ice cream impy stout spicy. I mean its 15% but its not too hot. I mean it's boozy but the vanilla chocolate and spice are pleasant. Pretty good.

Bottle from to øl online. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma chocolate malty and lactose. Taste chocolate milk shake. Full rich body.

UPDATED: JAN 5, 2018 Had just taken top spot as the best beer I've ever had. I'm experienced with lots of 15% and above stouts and this one manages to keep its beer /stout(sweet) flavour and mouth feel whilst avoiding the common tenancy to taste like a spirit that many others in this category fall into. Try it if you can.

Bottle from Barley Wine. I guess this is from Pours thick and almost black with a dense small dark brown head that surprisingly enough stays for a while. Aroma has soy, rye bread, wort, chocolate and alcohol. Taste is heavy with lots of dark chocolate and coffee, warming boozy alcohol, ground pepper, liqueur soaked raisins/plums and lot of syrupy sweetness as the end. Full body, prickly carbonation, thick and smooth mouth feel.
A solid big Imperial Stout. Pretty hot and peppery. Reminds me of Churchills Last Hour!

Keg at the Star and Garter, Bromley. Black pour with a tan head. Rich aromas of dark roast coffee, chocolate, brandy snap, Highland toffee. Flavours of toffee, booze, caramel, coffee, cocoa. Long malty sweet finish. Very good.

Bit of a difficult one to rate as this is almost laugh out loud unbalanced and massive! About twice too much lactose, specialty malts and alcohol but an experience if nothing else! Pours like treacle with a brown head. Nose is relatively restrained with a light hop character and chocolate. The taste almost blew my head off! Huge alcohol and lactose sweetness more than matches the coffee and chocolate malt notes. The finish is further sweetness and a lovely alcoholic warmth. Tasty and something I will look out for again but if I am looking for a restrained and subtle beer this is not the place! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampled from a bottle. Very dark with a thick tan head. Rich chocolate aroma. Taste is very rich and complex. Coffee, chocolate, liquorice, molasses, wood, leather and dried fruit. Sweet, but balanced by intense bitterness. Wonderful mouthfeel - this beer’s high ABV is hidden very well. A great Imperial Stout.

UPDATED: DEC 26, 2017 Bottle. Pours thick and black, with frothy head that keeps its shape. Smells sweet and bitter, like black treacle. Tastes almost like a liqueur, with a smack of booze, loads of coffee, chocolate and black strap molasses. Warming and sweet with an almost burning aftertaste! A beast to be sure, but sweet and deep enough to keep the alcoholic fire at bay!

Czarne, piana okazała. W aromacie trochę kawy, trochę mlecznej czekolady - przyjemnie ale mało intensywnie. W smaku sos sojowy, słodycz, mleczna czekolada - ciekawie się to zgrywa. Alkohol delikatny. Paloność na granicy wyczuwalności. Gęsto i słodko. Nieźle.
