English: Black Ball is a potent porter with a nice and round mouth feel combined with a lot of american hops, that balances the full and creamy body which has notes of chocolate, coffee and smoke.
Ingredients: Water, malt(pilsner, smoked, chokolade, cara munich, brown), roasted barley, flaked oat, dark cassanade sugar, hops (Simcoe, Centennial, Cascade) and yeast.

bottle from mathieu t., many thanks! pours almost black with a nice creamy beige head, some retention. strong coffee and roasted notes, smoked malt, scotch whiskey, maple - some sweetness, never cloying, few burnt malts, leather and soy sauce. soft carbonation, medium to full body, big resinous and citrusy hops for a medium long dry-hopped citrusy finish. quite nice sipper!

Zlotta (2367) - Hagen, GERMANY - NOV 28, 2016
0.33 l bottle from ’Rudat’, best before November 2019 (cellared for 1,5 years). Pitch black with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, brown head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty and a bit fruity-resiny aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, hazelnut, some vanilla and blackberry. Quite sweet, malty, moderately roasty and quite fruity-resiny taste of dark chocolate, praline, vanilla, hazelnut, licorice, blackberry and a touch of tropical fruits, followed by a medium long, rather roasty-bitter, slightly warming and a bit resiny finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very tasty! Still rather hoppy although not fresh at all, heavy malty backbone, quite moreish!

Nicely executed porter with just enough hops to not make it distracting. Has all the elements required for enjoyable experience. Paid way too much to try, but I love trying new stuff! Nothing can be done about it. Serving: 11.2 floz bottle @ $7.95

0,33l bottle from Beergium. Pours black color with some thick head. Oily texture. Aroma of heavy roasted malts, chocolate, smoke, cocoa. Smoke comes bigger in taste, balancing bitterness, thick body.

Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a black color with a thin finger’s worth of off white to almost tan foamy head. Lacing is messy and somewhat sticky. The aroma grips some black licorice and blends tightly with some smoke, coca cola, coffee bean, sly vanilla bean, subtle woody dryness. The flavor leans sweet and grips some spice (probably from the black licorice). Mostly blends into the aftertaste and rides on into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body. ABV does seem fairly quaint. Mild carbonation. Semi-sticky on my tongue. Overall, the in between of the porter to the imperial porter (not an accepted style, yet), it’s a nice beer to have just as it is as there’s a lot going on. I’d have again.

Plain delicious. Thick and roasty but with a nice flavor, some smoke maybe and some chocolate. Makes me think much more of an imperial stout really. Great stuff.
