Pours dark with medium off white almost light brown head Aromas of mocca, dark chocolate, dark fruits, vanilla, hints of cocoa Medium bodied but wee bit watery, nice long high bitter finish. Nice coffee and chocolate tones. Nice Imperial Porter that might need a year in the cellar.

Pours black. Nose is faint char and anise. Taste is sharply bitter up front, but fades to a dark cacao finish. Quite interesting and unlike most porters. More like an imperial stout in flavor profile. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Önmagában véve szimpatikus ital, a külleme terén sincs oka panaszra: éjfekete test, bézs habbal a tetején. Illatai még magukban hordoznak némi reményt valami intenzív élmény kiteljesedésére, a mandulás, marcipános színezetu, édeskésen telt malátás aromák rendben vannak, bár a komló kissé kitüremkedo foszlányai elorevetítik egy általam kevésbé preferált stílus kirajzolódását. Belekortyolva beigazolódik a gyanúm; közelebb állni látszik ugyanis egy szimpla, komlóval alaposan megdúsított porterhez, mintsem annak imperial-változatához. Kávés, étcsokoládés, hamus, majd gyógynövényes, pirított magvas karakteru, kissé éles testu, az imperial-vonalhoz homályos szálak útján kapcsolódó fozet.
