Tons of roasted malt, prominent coffee, primarily pine for the hop profile accompanied by some citrus. Firm, but not overbearing bitterness provides an interesting counterpoint to the richness of the coffee. Really nice stuff!

Bottle. Aroma is pine tree, herbs, roasted coffee. Quite dense, moderate carbonation, bitter coffee, dark chocolate, very strong herbal notes. Altogether it almost combines into ashtray, but in a good way :) I would say this is american stout, but who cares I guess.

UPDATED: NOV 20, 2017 Goddamn, this is like drinking an espresso! IPA is lost on me here, but the smell and global texture reminds me of it, for the rest an excellent beer!

0.33 l bottle at home, celebrating the submission of my thesis. Pours jet black with huge, beige head. Nose is chocolate, cocoa, some coffee and slight fruits with hints of hops. Taste is a mindblowing mixture of cocoa, dried fruits, coffee, chocolate and decent amount of bitter hops. Closes with long lasting, dry and bitter cocoa-hoppy finish with some coffee on the long run, and leaves warm feeling behind. Medium to heavy bodied, softly carbonated with a creamy texture. Amazing.

This is some glorious combination of middle ground between a Black IPA and a Russian Imperial Stout. It's dry and super hoppy, like a Black IPA, but also loaded with coffee and raisins and chocolate like a rich imperial stout. This is fantastic.

Nice and potent aroma, with a big amount of roastiness and quality coffee. Also, hops are present, mostly citrus and pomello. There's a hint of vanilla, which is nice. Taste is coffee based, there's roasted malts and grapefruit as well. Oily, not too sweet, bitter aftertaste. Just a touch of salt. Feels balanced and well made.

Sampled on draught at Bootleggers Craft Beer bar in Copenhagen. A near black colour with a light brown head. Roasted malts in the aroma and a taste of espresso coffee and chocolate, with some hints off smokiness and a distinct hint of grapefruit in the aftertaste. Some acidity in the taste, making this beer a little lighter and easier to drink than one would expect from the ABV.

UPDATED: SEP 23, 2017 Acquistata su lacantinadellabirra.it. Colore nero impenetrabile.

Bought @ De Caigny Slighly toasted nose. Taste is full, coffee, toasted, a tad salty. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy. Aftertaste has some bitters.

Pours black with a dark brown lasting lacing. This iaa very aggressive beer! Can smell the salt and coffee. This leads to a smooth coffee mouthfeel with the dry finish. Fantastic beer!
