Tap at Erzbierschof Zurich. Pours foggy golden. Aroma is soapy citrus with some flowers. Body is light, with a lively carbonation, quite refreshing. Palate is more of the same, nothing that stands out. Quite nice but not much of a wit.

0.33l bottle. Oh, it has a really good looking big fluffy white head this one. Lasting forever and it leaves some serious laceworks down the sides of the glass. Really impressive nose in this one as well. Hops does wonders and these guys are definitely not shy on the hops. Its both wheat sweet and grassy hoppy with subtle tones of spices and oranges. This truly smells really nice for a Norwegian grocery strength wit. Doesnt taste all that bad either. it has some flavor that remind me a lot of toothpaste blended with mineral water. Set that beside and its wheat sweet with a zesty almost acidic orange peel sourness. That white part of the orange and tones of reeds. Its high on the bubbles and its mild oily in the mouth. Lemony zesty and quite bitter finish on this one. Yeah, its definitely an original indeed take on a wit. Something I could easily supplement with my go-to wit (Ngne). 18.04.2014
