Bottle. Teku glass. Amber, medium hazy with medium, white head. Medicore lacing and head retention. Nice, medium peach and tropical fruits aroma - mainly pinnaple, also some citrus notes - grapefruit peel. Cedar wood accents are quite present, but not overwhelming. Taste is medium bitter - partly from cedar wood and partly from hops - grapefruit peel. In the second row some malty sweetness - toasty and caramel, which try to balance the bitter character of this beer. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, finish is definetelty medium bitter and long. In general interesting IIPA, which combines cedar wood, nice hoppy character and malty character.

Desverger (11122) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 6, 2015
Bottle from BarleyWine, CPH - fuzzy orange pour with big white head. Aroma and taste is tropical fruity, with pineapple peach and grapefruit all evident, but somewhat masked by prominent cedar wood, some nice pine needles and some hoppy spice. Overall very nice, but found the cedar somewhat overpowering on the palate.

330 ml bottle @ Ukkometso
Hazy yellow to orange beer with dense white head. Aroma has peach. caramel, pineapple, dense tropical fruits and wood. Quite musty. Flavor has caramel, resin, bitterness, fruits and wood. Palate is full with quite strong carbonation and bitterness. Finish has quite strong bitterness with feel of alcohol. aftertaste has resin and caramel. Quite barley wine like, reminds me of Sierra Nevada Hoptimum. Needs more refreshingness.

330ml bottle from Valhallas Goat. Orange brown, not much head. Apricot hop aroma. Big woody peach flavour. Slightly sweet smokey aftertaste. Not as sickly as most DIPAs which makes it a really good one.

Kauge (1931) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - OCT 6, 2014
(The last) bottle at Pudel, Oct 2014 - reviewed retrospectively. Poured a nice orange with an everlasting off-white head. Nose... a startling peppery-cedary woodiness, with resinous-citrusy-malty notes in the background. Taste also dominated by the spicy woodiness of the ("handful of"?! - the hell!) cedar chips and piney-resinous hops, backed by a proper malt backbone. Not had anything like it before - I absolutely loved this insanely "woody" beer! Must re-rate more thoroughly if I ever get my hands on another bottle.

30.08.2014, 0,33l bottle @ home:
Big slightly fizzy-creamy longlasting head. Aroma is strange woody, cedar, rubber, bark, pine needles, soil, harsh hops, leafs, alcohol. Taste is harsh woody, weeds, cedar, bark, leafs, harsh hops, lawn, pine needles, moss. Longlasting bitterness, dry harsh mouthfeel. Not my cup of tea. Way too woody....

Ser, etwas grasiger Antrunk. Milde Bitternoten, steigend gewrzig, hell hopfig malzig. Sffig, nie alkoholisch. Vollmundig rundes, deutlich kruterartiges IPA. 9/12/12/12/9/12

Butelka 0,33 Barwa jasne intensywnie opalizujące złoto z odrobiną osadu. Piana na 2 palce, wolno opada. Zapach eksplozja cytrusw, świeżo startego cynamonu i gałki muszkatołowej. Można wąchać i wąchać. Smak to bardzo złożony bukiet, a nie pojedyncze doznania. Igły choinki, żywica, drewno/kora, cynamon, gałka muszkatołowa, cytrusy z dominującym kwaskowatym grejpfrutem i dużo więcej. Niesamowicie intensywne i naturalne. Goryczka wysoka.
