The next beer in the To Øl hop adventure is now a reality – we present to you Dangerously Close To Stupid. An Imperial IPA at 9,3 % ABV with a close to stupid amount of Citra and Centennial Hops in it. It is a bright crisp and super dry-hopped IIPA with a smooth and balanced body. To make a tight transition between the hop profile and the body we have removed all caramel malts and focused only on basis malts. This is resulting in a nice fresh Spring/Summer IIPA that has a Dangerously Close To Stupid drinkability. We have for a long time been wanting to do a pendant to the Final Frontier Double IPA, that has this rich caramel body and we think we nailed it Dangerously Close to Perfect with this one

Bottle pour hazy dark gold with lots of sediment and moderate white head. Nose dank hop, earthy, lightly vegetal. Taste moderate bitter bite up front, then slightly spicy hop, followed by dank hop and brief alcohol. Some balancing sweetness late palate. Lingering bitter finish. Thick mouth feel.

Look; flathead layer, apricot golden hazy body. Aroma; pine forest, caramel notes, forest apricot, squirrelmalts. Taste; hops, pine, roasted light malts - varming caramel n hops in a nice balanced finish. A solid one on palate. Overall tasty strong IPA, but not stupid. [33cl br btl, 9.3%abv, BB28.10.17, 7€, Vinmonopolet, squirrelmalt = malt that suddenly appears from a pine tree and then goes nuts]

Bottle. Neck smells of cut flowers and sherbert. Poured out there is loads of honey on the nose and sweet tangerine. Taste is big orange, boozy but fresh too. Floral at the back of the mouth. Rich and slightly sweet with restraint marmalade bitterness. Clean finish. Really nice but not unforgettable.

WYGLĄD: Barwa ciemnozłota, zamglone. Piana drobna, wysoka, trwała. Nieśmiało oblepia szkło.
AROMAT: Dosyć intensywny, słodki cukierkowy. Naprzemiennie wyczuwalne karmel i owoce tropikalne (ananas, papaja) W tle akcenty ziołowe, ale również nieznaczne oznaki utlenienia (miód).
SMAK: Cytrusowo-ziołowe. Posmak ziołowy. Goryczka średnia w kierunku wysokiej, nieco zalegająca. Zaskakująco dobrze pijalne jak na 9.3%
OGÓLNIE: Bardzo przyjemne piwo w odbiorze, nawet pomimo wysokiej zawartości alkoholu.

ElDesmadre (3627) - Mikołów, POLAND - JAN 21, 2016
Bottle. Mango, honey melon, orange, pomelo - the hopping is intense, citrusy and tropical, with the malt base shining through here and there. Soft though not oily, juicy-hoppy flavour. Bitter-sweet, balanced taste. Its ABV is a bit too noticeable, while the beer is absolutely not boozy. Very good.

Very clean hoppy aroma with a touch of sweetness. Beautiful dark orange color with sediment and an ivory tuft of foam. Tastes hoppy and fresh with a bit of an earthy/grassy quality. Many DIPAs go overboard on the malt, this one lets the hops be the star but without being bitter. The palate is a bit thin but overall this was very good. Extremely drinkable for such a big beer.

Flaske 330ml delt med Torgeir på Cafe Sånn. Aprikosfarget. Uklar. Veldig høyt tett skum som daler veldig sakte. Tynn lacing. God aprikosaroma. Smaken veldig balansert. Forbausende "lett" fruktsmak med alkoholen godt kamuflert. Tørr avslutning.

Draught @ Dansken. Pours hazy burnt orange with a creamy offwhite head that leaves lots of thick sticky lacing and trace in the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty and fruity with dark bread, caramel, grapefruit juice, pineapple, papaya, moist grass, pine needles, resin, lemon zest and hints of alcohol. Taste is sweet, bitter, malty and fruity. Mouthfeel is round, astringent, slightly boozy and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with bread, caramel, toffee, grapefruit juice, papaya, moist grass, pine needles, resin, cardboard, alcohol and lemon zest. Very tired and heavy on the caramel, bread, toffee and cardboard.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines. Cotteridge, Birmingham, consumed at home Thursday 7th December 2015 Pours orangey gold with a thick white creamy textured head atop. Soft in the mouth, feels thick, sweet, bitterness doesn’t present itself immediately. This is a big IPA but the maltiness is very much in the US style. Sweet citrus, dry at the finish, it’s a grower though Loz has left hers to me and cracked open an Axe Edge. After a while there is slight hoppy burn, warmth from alcohol also. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

SeniorZozo (1862) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JAN 6, 2016
Bottle. lasting white frothy head atop a cloudy orange peach body. Nose of pine sol and soap. Very deep in citrus flavours: Seville Orange, Mandarin and passion fruit tossed in.
