The next beer in the To l hop adventure is now a reality we present to you Dangerously Close To Stupid. An Imperial IPA at 9,3 % ABV with a close to stupid amount of Citra and Centennial Hops in it. It is a bright crisp and super dry-hopped IIPA with a smooth and balanced body. To make a tight transition between the hop profile and the body we have removed all caramel malts and focused only on basis malts. This is resulting in a nice fresh Spring/Summer IIPA that has a Dangerously Close To Stupid drinkability. We have for a long time been wanting to do a pendant to the Final Frontier Double IPA, that has this rich caramel body and we think we nailed it Dangerously Close to Perfect with this one

Bottle from Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Hazy honey colour with an attractive misty white head. Aroma is floral and citrus, with orange zest and lemon. Taste is very well balanced sweet and bitter, but not too much of either. Nice alcohol hum, and subtle carbonation with a medium body. Very good and goes down very easy.

Tallahassee, Fl. - Quick N Save - 11.2 oz bottle. Hazy medium orange pour, reminds me of an Orange Julius, sticky snow white head, sticky lacing. Fresh, resiny, aroma with some light cat urine accents, strong spruce-like accents. Delectable flavor with some minty accents, some papaya and mango-like fruitiness, a touch of caramel sweetness,. Mouthfeel has a solid thickness to it. Nice way to wrap up an evening.

33cl bottle bought at cerveteca bar in Lisbon. It pours a hazy golden colour with a thick and persistent white head. Aroma is pines, lots of citrus, oranges, lemon, caramel, hops, oranges, passion fruit and all kind of tropical fruits. Taste is sweet fruit, orange juice, pine fruit and other kind of tropical fruits, and it ends with malty flavour and hoppy bitterness that lingers. It has medium body and decent carbonation. A nice summery DIPA indeed.

Bottle from The Malting Pot. Cloudy orange, medium to large smooth head. Aroma grapefruit. Full body. Taste direct hoppy attack, some honey undertones. Long hoppy finish. Not too complicated, but a very good straightforward IIPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Good, but I expected more. Very dry, a lot of bitterness and a minimum of other shades.

Cloudy orange body with a small, off-white head that leaves some foam on the glass. Very strong aroma of slightly overripe tropical fruits, citrus (mainly orange) and caramel. Strong flavour of very overripe tropical fruits, caramel and some unusual notes of burnt sugar. Moderate sweet and heavy bitter taste. Full-bodied, oily, softly carbonated and with a light dryness in the finish. A solid DIPA.
