The next beer in the To l hop adventure is now a reality we present to you Dangerously Close To Stupid. An Imperial IPA at 9,3 % ABV with a close to stupid amount of Citra and Centennial Hops in it. It is a bright crisp and super dry-hopped IIPA with a smooth and balanced body. To make a tight transition between the hop profile and the body we have removed all caramel malts and focused only on basis malts. This is resulting in a nice fresh Spring/Summer IIPA that has a Dangerously Close To Stupid drinkability. We have for a long time been wanting to do a pendant to the Final Frontier Double IPA, that has this rich caramel body and we think we nailed it Dangerously Close to Perfect with this one

Bottled (backlog). Golden colour with a creamy white small head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is tropical fruits, some toffee and mild alcohol to it. Flavour is zesty, tropical fruity with some slight alcohol and mild toffeeish sweetness. Bold gold colour with a dense head. Sticky texture. Bitter and spicy with a tropical finish. Sweet fruit aroma with a slight gasoline element. Dangerously close, indeed. A bit over the top, but still quite nice.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of JanLaursen. Pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Massive and rather sophisticated hop aroma. Medium body, some sweet malts and fruit with a shitload of peachy and herbal hops. Quite minerally - almost salty. Ends sweet, thick and syrupy - yet with a ton of great hops. 220413

Draught at Bishops Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm. Cloudy deep golden, minimal head. Powerful aroma of lychee, cocoa lemon yoghurt and gooseberry. Sweet woith clean mouthfeel and full body. All focus is on aromatic hops. The malt profile is the typical non-descript de Proef style. Some alcohol shines through in a finsh with honey and long bitterness. Pleasant hops, but pretty indistinguishable from the flood of hoppy beers brewed at de Proef.
