Bottle, thanks to yespr on 30 April 2013. Golden amber colour. Intense floral and grassy hop aroma. Lasting off-white head. Good firm bitterness on the palate to go with the aromatic elements. Not too boozy or sticky but does have a little more residual sweetness than I like.

I’ve had this beer many times, it’s one mof my favourite IPAs this side of the pond. Somehow I forgot to rate it here. oobawa (1301) - Tennessee, USA - JUN 7, 2017
Hazy golden pour with a tall off-white head. Notes of overripea peaches, apricots, pears, citrus, light grapefurit, caramelized malts, tons of pineapple, mango, a bit of papaya. Superb beer, medium body, medium carbonation, nice mouthfeel. Juicy and dangerously drinkable. Something about Centennial and Citra hops that takes me back to my younger days of exploring craft beers.
Weird to read in the description that To Øl removed all the caramel malts from the recipe, since that’s the primary flavor here: big, rich, heavy caramel. Thinking this bottle’s well past its prime; hops are still lingering around, but any bright, citric character is long gone, replaced by hints of orange and pine and a lengthy bitter finish. Mostly caramel with toasted biscuit underneath, finished by a IBU-packed fade accented with modest mango-citrus notes. Probably killer fresh. Not bad as-is, but not great either. Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy orange with a medium but lasting white head and an aroma of pine, floral hops, ripe tropical fruits, brown sugar, caramel, biscuits, cookies, bread, alcohol and figs. The taste is a really nice mixture of malty sweetness, alcohol and exotic fruity, hoppy bitterness. Very nice

azy amber liquid, with a stable, off-white head. Heavy aromas with licorice, resin, yogurt, gooseberries, floor malt; an old ale type scent. After the first sip, believe this might be a bottle that was on the boat/shelf too long. Sweet, wood malt. All the qualities of an aged IIPA (not necessarily a good thing for me – unfortunately).

Drank 06-05-17 while writing. Quite bitter IPA. A little sweetness near the end. Body is good. Not too hoppy. MadRobin (2987) - Silver Spring, Alabama, USA - APR 14, 2017

Bottle 0,33L. Murky orange color with large, frothy, white head and a lot of floating particles, although I left some sediment in bottle. Aroma of caramel malt with some spicy and herbal touch, also some fruits and note of alcohol. Medium to heavy bitter taste, heavy on malts with heavy bitterness at the end. Kinda heavy beer, not for every occasion and not for everyday drinking. Foerdifuxx (353) - Franconia, GERMANY - APR 3, 2017
Almost clear yellow golden beer with a huge white, good lasting head. Aroma of grains, tropical fruits, strong peach, orange zest, whiff of piss, caramel. Taste of caramel and hops, medium sweet fruity and bitter, strong grainy in the middle part, longlasting bitter finish. Bit soapy with temperature. Oily texture, flat carbonation, full body. nearbeer (5362) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - MAR 31, 2017
33 cl. bottled 11/10/15. Light fog on the honey colored brew and a spongy disc of foam above. Nose is rising bread, caramel and light citrus zest. Flavors of toffee, mild citrus mix and light peppery, sodden wood indicating old hops. Medium-plus body has a pleasant medium carbonation and a decent balance. Will try to sample a fresh bottle in the future for a fairer rating. Thanks again to McScrooges for peddling outdated European brews at the same price as fresh like no one else!
