COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The next beer in the To Øl hop adventure is now a reality – we present to you Dangerously Close To Stupid. An Imperial IPA at 9,3 % ABV with a close to stupid amount of Citra and Centennial Hops in it. It is a bright crisp and super dry-hopped IIPA with a smooth and balanced body. To make a tight transition between the hop profile and the body we have removed all caramel malts and focused only on basis malts. This is resulting in a nice fresh Spring/Summer IIPA that has a Dangerously Close To Stupid drinkability. We have for a long time been wanting to do a pendant to the Final Frontier Double IPA, that has this rich caramel body and we think we nailed it Dangerously Close to Perfect with this one

Bottle, thanks to yespr on 30 April 2013. Golden amber colour. Intense floral and grassy hop aroma. Lasting off-white head. Good firm bitterness on the palate to go with the aromatic elements. Not too boozy or sticky but does have a little more residual sweetness than I like.

Közepes, tartós hab, narancssárga szín. Ananászos, déligyümölcsös, citrusos illat. Édes, intenzív, déligyümölcsös, citrusos ízvilág. Testes, enyhén szénsavas, közepesen keserű. Kicsit sok a jóból, az émelyítő határán libeg.

@ Beerlovers Bar Very nice exotic fruit and malt in nose. Taste is very malty, nice yeast there. Some exotic fruit. Not too hoppy. Malt takes over. Juicy and smooth palate.

Opálos sárga szín, szép nagy fehér hab. Narancsos, trópusi gyömölcsös illat. Közepesen keserű karamalles, trópusi gyümölcsös, citrusos ízvilág. A magas alkoholt egyáltalán nem érezni. Nagyon jó dipa.

Bottle from El Irlandés. Pours a bright and cloudy orange color with a big white frothy head. Aroma is fruity but for some reason dulled down a lot. I get some tropical fruit hints, but it doesn’t feel perfumy and intensely citrusy as expected. Taste is much better, sweet and fruity with hints of mango, pineapple, orange, prickly pear and mellon. Some bitterness hits the palate at the end with slight piney and minty touches. Big but smooth body with low carbonation. Highly drinkable. Alcohol well-hidden. A pretty good IIPA but not as world class as expected.
