Bottle. Cloudy with white head. A lot of fruits in this one, apricot, tropical and citrus. Some pine t\in the taste also. Fine balance between sweetness and bitterness. Not a NEIPA imperial as i thought, but more lika a "regular" imperial ipa, but iits ok!

CloakedDagger (2575) - - AUG 3, 2017
Bottle 33 cl. Pours an almost clear dark golden with a lacing, white head - doesn’t look juicy at all. Dank, hoppy nose and already an alcoholic sensation. Solid body, very fruity with a good hop bite and a hoppy finish. I don’t think the hops are quite as aromatic as I could’ve wished for. 030817

4 finger sturdy, eggshell coloured head. Semi-clear amber coloured beer. Aroma is orange, lemon, apricot, mango and pineapple. Slight note of lactose. Taste is heavy on phenolic notes.. Dishcloth, orange, grapefruit pith, apricot marmalde and a slight note of mango before the medicin taste takes over completely. Mouthfeel is quite thick and heavy. Oily but not sticky. Good maltbase. A mix between phenolic and grapefruit bitterness. Medium-low carbonation. Overall: The line between this being delicious and it being something I probably wouldn’t buy again is very fine, unfortunately it leans against the latter since the chemical note is way too overpowering. I’ve had DIPAs like this with heavy dishcloth & marmalade notes that were fantastic but this one didn’t do it quite right. Some sips are still delicious but the majority aren’t, hence the rating.
