COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
To Øl Frost Bite is an American Pale Ale brewed with orange peel and pine needles. It is so frosty that it needs to be stored cold and may bite if you touch it. This beer is all about the balance (not the bass). Imagine the flavours of pine needles and orange peel. Now imagine the same flavours only represented by Aurora, Citra, Tettnanger, Simcoe and Amarillo hops. This hoppy dry mix of spices and hops makes for the perfect Winter American Style Pale Ale.

Ingredients: Water, barley malt (Pale, Cara Red, Munich, Pilsner), flaked oats malt, pine needles, orange peels, hops (Aurora, Citra, Tettnanger, Simcoe, Amarillo), yeast.

Bottle. Orange malt and grapefruit peel/quinine aroma. Hazy golden yellow with moderate head. Lightly sweet orange peel and mildly bitter orange peel flavor. Light body. Okay but pretty boring.

On draft. Murky amber color with almost no head. Mostly pine and malt taste. Not the style of APA that I enjoy, but still decent.

Bottle: Slightly hazed, gold-amber with a puffy, craggy, off-white head. Orange/lemon/grapefruit aroma.....soft pine. Taste is equally soft pine, mild citrus... Sweet, juicy...not a lot of tingle or bittering, but a good, solid APA...

Aroma is citrus, floral, spices and a hint of sweetness/earthy. The flavor is citrus/orange, mild candy/sweetness, a hint of hop resin, malts and a mix of orange peel and light bitterness in the finish.

Tap @ Taphouse, Copenhagen. Hazy amber color with smallish white head. Nose has crisp hops, fruits and malts. Taste malt based and has lots of american hops with hints of citrus fruits. Really refreshing.

Lightly foggy orange beer with a largeish foamy head. Aroma is fruity, fresh, oranges, sweet fruits and hint resinous. Taste is delicious fruits, oranges, piney hops. Smooth medium plus mouthfeel, finishes bitter and a bit stingy, the pine needles? Dunno but I really liked this! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
