COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
To Øl Frost Bite is an American Pale Ale brewed with orange peel and pine needles. It is so frosty that it needs to be stored cold and may bite if you touch it. This beer is all about the balance (not the bass). Imagine the flavours of pine needles and orange peel. Now imagine the same flavours only represented by Aurora, Citra, Tettnanger, Simcoe and Amarillo hops. This hoppy dry mix of spices and hops makes for the perfect Winter American Style Pale Ale.

Ingredients: Water, barley malt (Pale, Cara Red, Munich, Pilsner), flaked oats malt, pine needles, orange peels, hops (Aurora, Citra, Tettnanger, Simcoe, Amarillo), yeast.

Pours hazy gold into a tulip. Off-white head with excellent retention top hats the rim and continues outside glass. Sweet citrus aromas. Dry astringent with caramel and citrus upfront turning to earthy pine in the lasting finish.

Dark orange 1 finger. Not a lot of nose. Some herbal notes. Taste is piney with rye and bitter orange peels. Not a lot going on

mikkellund42 (849) - DENMARK - DEC 22, 2014
Bottle. Pours hazy orange amber with medium white head. Aroma is orange, bitter grapefruit, mandarin and hints of spruce. Taste is medium acidic, medium to very bitter and light sweet. Body is light oily with fizzy carbonation. Finish is long and mostly bitter with notes of orange, grapefruit, lime, lemon, mandarin and pepper. Very refreshing and well balanced but not a typical Christmas brew.

330 ml bottle @ Fox and Hounds, Aabenraa. Unclear orange body with a with a lacing, medium sized off-white head. Aroma has malt, some caramel, citric fruit, pine and a hint of oranges. Flavor is sweet malt, light caramel, citric fruit, pine, oranges and moderate bitterness. Fine balanced body and decent aftertaste. Pretty nice, and it actually have some Christmas spirit.

Draft at Churchkey. Poured a yellow blonde color with a medium white head. Aroma was light pine notes, sweet malt. Lots of pine in this, which makes sense because this has pine needles in it. Light bitter finish. Refreshing.

I thought this came together pretty well. Orange peel and pine needles add an interesting element to this. Pours blonde with good head and lacing. Light bitter finish. Hoppy with good malt backbone. Tap at Churchkey.
