COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
To Øl Frost Bite is an American Pale Ale brewed with orange peel and pine needles. It is so frosty that it needs to be stored cold and may bite if you touch it. This beer is all about the balance (not the bass). Imagine the flavours of pine needles and orange peel. Now imagine the same flavours only represented by Aurora, Citra, Tettnanger, Simcoe and Amarillo hops. This hoppy dry mix of spices and hops makes for the perfect Winter American Style Pale Ale.

Ingredients: Water, barley malt (Pale, Cara Red, Munich, Pilsner), flaked oats malt, pine needles, orange peels, hops (Aurora, Citra, Tettnanger, Simcoe, Amarillo), yeast.

Bottle. Sensoric. Deep amber, medium hazy with medium, white, semi-densed head. Average head retention, good lacing. Nice, medium citrus, piney and mint aroma. Also some light herbal and caramel notes. Taste is in general more light than medium bitter with some balanced malty sweetness. Light to medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, finish is dry and light bitter.

Bottle at home, bought at Beer & Deli, Athens. Pours small, diminishing off-white head. Fair lacing. Medium to full body, oily texture, bitter finish, light in alcohol. Average malt presence, tints of caramel, bread, meal. Average hop presence, distinctive presence of citrus and orange peel, long lasting taste. Moderate sweetness, slightly acidic, well balanced sweetness and bitterness, somehow peppery aftertaste, and a hint of soapy aftertaste as time passes by. My very first TO OL brew turned out to be a very interesting ale!
