COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
To Øl Frost Bite is an American Pale Ale brewed with orange peel and pine needles. It is so frosty that it needs to be stored cold and may bite if you touch it. This beer is all about the balance (not the bass). Imagine the flavours of pine needles and orange peel. Now imagine the same flavours only represented by Aurora, Citra, Tettnanger, Simcoe and Amarillo hops. This hoppy dry mix of spices and hops makes for the perfect Winter American Style Pale Ale.

Ingredients: Water, barley malt (Pale, Cara Red, Munich, Pilsner), flaked oats malt, pine needles, orange peels, hops (Aurora, Citra, Tettnanger, Simcoe, Amarillo), yeast.

Shared 33 cl bottle. Nice golden pour with a 2 finger head. Aroma is fresh hoppy and citrusy with some grapefruit. Taste is nice with citrus and orangepeel. Finishes bitter and dry. This was nice!

Butelka do 31.08.2018

Aus der Flasche getrunken (Weihnachtskalender von To Øl). Messingfarben mit weißer imposanter Schaumkrone. In der Nase noch unauffällig, aber wunderbar eingebraute Nadelwaldaromen. Kaum Restbittre.

Bottle, thanks surething_ii. Big off-white head, hazy amber colour, aroma of citruses and hop. Beautifully balanced beer, citruses, hop, bit malty taste, long bitter finish.

Orange, hazy with a big white head. Smell is really vague, some hoppiness, citrus and tropical fruits. Taste: dry, bitter, with hints of citrus and hops. Expected a more complex taste, quite a boring beer.

Bottle from Pivný raj, Bratislava. Very nice ale. Refreshing, fruity, just enough of bitterness. To Ol remains as one of mine favorite breweries.

Copenhagen 22/1 2017. 33 cl bottle from SuperBrugsen. The word "Frost Bite" written in different fonts on label. Pours cloudy light amber with big white head. Settles as 2 cm thick layer of creamy foam. Moderate lacing. Aroma is exotic fruit meets the Citric brigade. Peach and mango meets Grape fruit and lemon. The Citric fruit dominating. Medium carbonation and slightly thick palate. Flavor is lightly sweet followed by pronounced bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and lingers for a minute or so. It did not actually bite me - but it was a nice distraction on a Sunday afternoon.
