33 cl. bottle sampled @ post-GBF 2013 train drink. Split by 3. Obtained from Hopduvel. Great label & name. Nose is indeed quite hoppy mixed with toffee, chocolate, mocha, hint pine, caramel, light biscuit. Taste is sweet chocolate, chocolate milk & milk chocolate, hoppy, light grapefruit, inkling pine, caramel, toffee, thick malts, brown sugar,… Easy to drink, fine carb. Really nice brew.

Bottle from Archive Beer Boutique August 2013. One of the most flavour packed bees I have ever had. There is so much going on in this beer it is hard to keep track. Lots of spiced fruit and alcohol.

SeniorZozo (1862) - Budapest, HUNGARY - APR 25, 2016
Pours a dark amber with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is bready malt and raisin. Thin mouth, toasted malt, dark fruit, light spice, sweet finish, good.

Gerbeer (3795) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 10, 2016
On tap. Pours a clear red/mahogany with full head. Aromas of jammy red fruit and sourdough with earthy metallic notes. Flavors of fruity caramel, doughy malts, creme brulee and sticky Belgian yeast. Excellent.

Bottle purchased @ La caisse de bières. Superbe bière toute en rondeur avec des arômes de fruits rouges avec une présence alcoolique agréable.

elbernays (1555) - Dublin, IRELAND - AUG 31, 2013
Tangerine orange aroma. Lovely stuff. Pours dark brown with foam head that stays to the end. Sweet caramel, heavy body and noxious verging on the obnoxious it’s so filling. Low carbonation. Little alcohol taste despite high abv. Liked this one.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Excellent. Pours a beautiful ruddy brown, with crested fluff thatch. Flavour is deep and sweet. Smooth, constant mouthfeel, packed with Belgian yeast sugars, molasses and warming qualities. Is it the best Quad - I doubt it. Is it a brilliant beer - sure is.

caesar (7165) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - FEB 9, 2014
Bottled, BB date stuck beneath a sticker on the cap, but it was bought somewhere sept 2013, large sample. Clear copper color, medium off-white head. Aroma of loads of biscuity malt, caramel, raisin, but also some fruity notes like orange and grapefruit. Hint of fusel alcohol, not that much spicy notes. Quite sweet in taste, slight bitter, some alcohol. Sirupy. Like a fusion between an american barley wine and a belgian quadrupel. Lots of sugary sweetness, but a great sipper.

Grzesiek79 (4316) - Radom, POLAND - APR 3, 2014
Silny aromat kandyzowanego cukru. Toffi. Troche, a nawet sporo zelkow haribo i gumy balonowej. Mam wrazenie ze piwo jest przesadnie przeslodzone i to doslownie. Brak mu ulozonego smaku, wytrawnosci i winnosci quadrupli, a do Westvleterena czy St Bernardus mu bardzo daleko. Malo nut suszonych owocow. Za to jest nadmiernie slodkie i alkoholowe. Moze lata w piwniczce zrobily by mu lepiej. Wyglad ladny brunatny ciemny i metny kolor ciemno brazowa piana i artystyczna prowokacyjna etykieta.
