The great warrior of Gath. The mighty champion of the Philistines. Embedded in ancient folklore and religion. Coming from the World of Old. His size and stature is not human. He is bigger. The armor of Goliat is black. Creamy black lacings. Stands with a towering height. He can grab elements from both earth and heaven. Earthy, roasted, notes from the earth. Warming, pungent, sweet notes from the skies. His heart is beating slowly, almost endlessly slow. This man is thought to be invincible!

Ingredients: Water, barley malt, roasted barley, dark cassonade sugar, flaked oats, hops, gourmet coffee and yeast.

Pours black with good tan head. Aroma of coffee, vanilla and chocolate. Quite sweet on the nose. Taste of molasses, cherry and Berry fruits before the coffee takes over hugely. Quite high carbonation for the style. Finish is quite sweet and mild bitter with a touch of smoke

Tap at world of beer sugar land. Black black black with a big frothy brown head that laces heavily. Aroma of coffee, molasses, chocolate milk, and far fruits. Taste is huge and rich; sweet and roasty and bitter. Medium-full bodied and creamy. Amazing good.

UPDATED: MAY 7, 2016 Bottle from Alko Arkadia, Helsinki. Pours jet black with a light brown head. The aroma features a delicious combination of dark chocolate, coffee and sweetish dark bread. Taste is medium to heavily sweet with roasty and bitter notes lingering on the sidelines but not really making themselves felt. Chocolate and coffee dominate with some dark fruitiness and syrup appearing also. Sweetness makes this seem like Irish coffee and not totally in a good way. The palate is medium to full bodied and velvety smooth. Conflicting beer in many ways; sweet maltiness brings some good flavours but is definitely too assertive. Would have hoped for stronger hoppiness.

Pours a dark mahogany almost black with big fluffy tan head. Aromas of coffee, chocolate, and malt. Flavor of coffee, light chocolate, and a hint of smoke.

Corpo pieno, ben carbonata, texture oleosa.

Powerful, a bit boozey. Strong malt base, warmth, alcohol, coffee. Bit off balance.

Bottle, 375 ml from Svijet Piva. Shared with Miro and JFK10000. Pours black with medium brown head. Roasted, burnt coffee, loads of it. Roasted malts, chocolate, some dark fruit notes, but all overwhelmed with coffee. Sweet with some sourish notes. Not balanced and bit extreme on the coffee side, but I like it that way.

Bottle from our lovely monopoly. A pitch black beer with dark brown head. Nose has fresh coffee beans, roasted malt, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, wood, coffee, and roasted malt, leading to a bitter, roasted coffee finish. Really delicious and balanced.

Vottle at home. Incredible aroma of sweet coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, green paprica. Sticky sweet and creamy body, a tad over the top. Flavour is that typical Proef Stout backbone, with additional coffee.

AirForceHops (8026) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - MAR 18, 2016
Draft at The Happy Raven, Lincoln, Nebraska. The coffee is bold lingering for days. Deep dark chocolate, deep ash. The body is full and creamy with a smooth Velvet mouthfeel. Very nice construction of this imperial stout.
