COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The great warrior of Gath. The mighty champion of the Philistines. Embedded in ancient folklore and religion. Coming from the World of Old. His size and stature is not human. He is bigger. The armor of Goliat is black. Creamy black lacings. Stands with a towering height. He can grab elements from both earth and heaven. Earthy, roasted, notes from the earth. Warming, pungent, sweet notes from the skies. His heart is beating slowly, almost endlessly slow. This man is thought to be invincible!

Ingredients: Water, barley malt, roasted barley, dark cassonade sugar, flaked oats, hops, gourmet coffee and yeast.

Bottle from some euro trade. Nose is rich coffee and light tobacco and earth. Fudge and cocoa as well. Taste is lightly tart and acidic. But not too much. Maybe a hint of brett as well, all in the finish? Not as much dark fruit as expected. Taste is a disappointment compared to the aroma. Decent.

From Miguel. In Teku glass. Playing Grim Legends 3. Very smooth, probably because of the oats. Plenty of milky notes. Soft coffee profile. Really sweet, leaving the glass sticky.

Cask at Brewdog Nottingham. A black colour with a thin tan head. Aroma of coffee beans, wood, some roasted malts, smoke, slight oats, bready malts, a little dark chocolate and subtle caramel. Taste of dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, some rolled oats, slight wood, smoke, a little brown sugar, a hint of dark fruits and subtle caramel. Full bodied and soft carbonation. A long, sweetish, woody, chocolatey finish. Complex as expected, lots of liquid dark chocolate, coffee, caramel and some woody smokiness. Quite smooth too in texture even if you can taste a little alcohol. Nice.

Keg at the bottle shop druid Street during the tap takeover. An opaque jet black coloured pour with a lasting thin tan head. Aroma is liquorice black malts, spicy woody coffee, raw coffee bean, little veg pepper, milky sweet. Flavour is composed of semi sweet lactose, spicy coffee, earthy, liquorice, marshmallow, hint of wood, tangy finish. Palate is rounded, medium full bodied lactose, lowish carbonation. Good.

UPDATED: JUN 19, 2017 Theyre not joking with the name, had a 330 on tap but i think id have a hard time drinking more. Lotta coffee, smokiness, simultaneously dessert sweet but also salty on the back, gettin some red wine fermented grape notes too

Kiedyś miałem więcej serca do tego piwa - teraz nazbyt syropowe się wydaje, o smaku bardzo przesłodzonej kawy, przynajmniej alkohol schowany

Black, outstanding headL brown, heavy, longlasting. Aroma: coffee beans, toffee, vanilla. Heavy cloying sweetness, full body, low bitterness. Lots of coffee against even more sweetness. Very sticky, dense. Nice, but it’s hard to drink; condensed sweet coffee. Alcohol of course hidden behind sweetness.

Wow. What a beer. Pours black with almost no head. Aroma is sweet and extremely coffee centered. Some hops, surprisingly refreshing and dark malts. Medium to heavy body, thick mouthfeel, very sweet and rich. Dark malts, hops and especially loads of coffee. What a brilliant Imperial stout!

Wonderful appearance, haven’t seen such a foam yet. Aroma is mostly coffe. Taste is quite interesting as it is very hoppy. I think this is the most hoppy RIS I have tried and it’s really good. It can be summarized in 2 words: coffe and hops.
