The great warrior of Gath. The mighty champion of the Philistines. Embedded in ancient folklore and religion. Coming from the World of Old. His size and stature is not human. He is bigger. The armor of Goliat is black. Creamy black lacings. Stands with a towering height. He can grab elements from both earth and heaven. Earthy, roasted, notes from the earth. Warming, pungent, sweet notes from the skies. His heart is beating slowly, almost endlessly slow. This man is thought to be invincible!

Ingredients: Water, barley malt, roasted barley, dark cassonade sugar, flaked oats, hops, gourmet coffee and yeast.

Black with a deep brown hue and a tan head. Good viscous lacings. Aromas of chocolate malts, caramel and coffee predominate with subtle hints of earthy, roasted malts and some herbal note develop. Fine carbonation slick-creamy and viscous with a full body. Sweet with a light roast bitterness. Lasting finish makes you wonder to get drunk due to the abv or hyperactive due to the coffee. Eitherway good job!

Bottle at home. Black/brown with frothier head. Nose gets black coffee bean, milk chocolate, caramel, lactose. Taste is smooth. Not too bitter. Mellow milk chocolate coffee with dark roasty malt flavors. Medium heavy body. Easy drinker for 10+abv. Really good coffee forward stout. Simple and straight forward. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Well, To Øl seems to have come up with the perfect name for its huge, coffee-infused Imperial Stout. Charred barley and earthy roasted coffee aromas. Despite the big espresso-like aroma, Goliat’s flavors are actually pretty approachable. There is a bitter coffee note, but it’s quickly followed by a creaminess that compares to cappuccino and chocolate. In an afternoon with several Scandinavian Imperial Stouts this was one of my favorite.

Bottle from Beers of Europe and split at the EU themed 2nd Ipswich bottle share. Pours black with a light tan colour head. Aroma of roasted coffee, chocolate, milk, and vanilla. Quite high sweetness balanced well with it’s roasted coffee bitterness. Medium/full bodied, texture is silky smooth. Very drinkable. Second highest rating of the night.

Piana sycząca, gruba, szybko opada prawie do zera. Barwa czarna, nieprzejrzysta, z minimalnym brązową poświatą na dnie szkła. Aromat przede wszystkim świeżo palona wysokiej jakości kawa, w tle kakao, praliny, sos sojowy i wosk pszczeli.

No paladar dulçor intenso e medio amargor torrado. Corpo licoroso e baixa carbonatação. Final de longa persistência, leve acidez de folha de café, álcool continua evidente, não se inseriu bem no geral.
