COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The great warrior of Gath. The mighty champion of the Philistines. Embedded in ancient folklore and religion. Coming from the World of Old. His size and stature is not human. He is bigger. The armor of Goliat is black. Creamy black lacings. Stands with a towering height. He can grab elements from both earth and heaven. Earthy, roasted, notes from the earth. Warming, pungent, sweet notes from the skies. His heart is beating slowly, almost endlessly slow. This man is thought to be invincible!

Ingredients: Water, barley malt, roasted barley, dark cassonade sugar, flaked oats, hops, gourmet coffee and yeast.

Drank 11-5-16 while writing in my diary (after squashing with Marijn and terrache chellings after the last ’Applied Ethics’ lecture). Very rich stout. Thick, lots of taste. Complex. A bit metally heavy alcohol smell, but taste is well-balanced, also chocolate.

Oily, pitch black pour with a chocolate brown head. Sweet, malty aroma with hot chocolate and some coffee and brown sugar. Slight roastiness. Taste is surprisingly sweet, very chocolatey with a slightly hoppy finish. Mouthfeel is very slick and oily with slight carbonation. Overall I really like this, it’s not that intense in the coffee and roastiness as one might expect but still really nice. Some might find the sweetness offputting though.

0.375 l bottle from ’Saveur Bière’, best before November 2019. Pitch black with a medium large, creamy, almost stable, light brown head. Sweetish-malty, roasty and slightly fruity aroma of coffee powder, dark chocolate, cocoa and red berries. Sweet, malty, slightly roasty and a little fruity taste of milk coffee, milk chocolate, cocoa, some vanilla and hints of red berries, followed by a medium long, medium roasty-bitter finish. Full body, very creamy and viscid mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Great dessert beer!

On tap at Kaschk, Berlin. Black with thin tanned head. Coffee, espresso, bitter chocolate, vanilla (?) and roasted malt. Big toasted body with light warming alcohol. The bitter coffee almost gets a sour touch. Dry with medium bitterness and low carbonation. Nice!

Descomunal imperial stout, con un delicioso olor a café. Sin embargo es sedosa y muy bebible. Una de las grandes de una marca que nunca defrauda.

500ml bottle from 100 Beers. Black in color with a small tan head. The aroma is sweet coffee, roast, dark chocolate, toffee, and molasses. Sweet flavor, very roasty bitter coffee notes. Bitter on the finish. Hides the booze pretty well. Medium-full body with a dry, sharp mouthfeel yet some sugary slickness. Classic well-done Euro imperial coffee stout.
