COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The great warrior of Gath. The mighty champion of the Philistines. Embedded in ancient folklore and religion. Coming from the World of Old. His size and stature is not human. He is bigger. The armor of Goliat is black. Creamy black lacings. Stands with a towering height. He can grab elements from both earth and heaven. Earthy, roasted, notes from the earth. Warming, pungent, sweet notes from the skies. His heart is beating slowly, almost endlessly slow. This man is thought to be invincible!

Ingredients: Water, barley malt, roasted barley, dark cassonade sugar, flaked oats, hops, gourmet coffee and yeast.

Tasted this in the Doghouse, Glasgow on the 30th June 2017. Keg, 1/3 pint. Dull black in colour with a tan head. Strong malty aroma with strong coffee and blackcurrant fruit evident on the long nose. Fantastic creamy mouthfeel and good lacing. Dark malt complex gives an immense depth of flavour with rich notes of treacle fudge, molasses, Colombian chocolate, mocha coffee and blackcurrant fruit are all in there. No hops detected in the aftertaste, so runs straight through into the malt. Sweet flavours of chocolate liqueur, mocha coffee, expensive high cocoa content dark chocolate, intense vanilla pods, dry blackcurrant fruit all in the mouth. This is a sipping Imperial Stout and it really is powerful stuff but it might be too sweet for some!

Look: pitch black, thin beige head. Aroma: wet stale ground coffee. Taste: sweet with light acidity and light bitterness. Flavour: coffee, rum, some earthy notes. Good. Too coffee.

BOTTLE 37 CL shared. Pitch black, dark espresso head. Lots of earthy coffee, coffee grounds, a little acrid coffee. Too much coffee here! Sweet lactose style impy taste, clashing which acrid coffee roast, some hops in the finish. Too sweet, too much coffee. Just Ok.

Pours pitch black, releasing all its carbonation that express itself in a huge brown head with fantastic lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, espresso coffee and chocolate. Tastes is rich, it fulfills the ideas of the nose, with lots of roasted malts, espresso, dark chocolate, dark fruits, sweetness all over the place, with a mouthfeel that recalls chocolate fudge. Some fruitiness in the end. Very thick and full bodied ale, oily and sticky, very smooth and easy to drink cos of its fantastic taste, soft carbonation, a long lingering liplicking finish. Quality!

Bottle. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aroma of dark fruits, earthy malt, dark chocolate, booze. Flavor of roasted malts, dark fruits, chocolate malt, vanilla, some alcohol in the finish. Dry, coffee is pretty faint, but lots of chocolate, roast, and dark fruits. Delicious, heavy of course, very complex. 9/4/9/4/15 (4.1/5)
