Huge caramel, toffee is pierced by strong raspberry acidity and light orange peel presence. Kind of like a fruit cake in a glass in the best way possible. Amazingly creative and very well crafted. TO OL kills it again!

danlo (3063) - Darlington, Durham, ENGLAND - SEP 19, 2016
375ml bottle. Reddish orange amber colour, thin off-white foam head and aroma of juicy berry fruit cordial concentrate, booze. Taste is sweet, fruity berries, with malt caramel, molasses, raisins, boozy, some pine and earthy bitterness. Sticky syrupy mouthfeel, full bodied, low carbonation, tangy warming finish with lingering berry sweetness. Quite drinkable.

backlog. Orange looking. Aroma is spruce, slight ripe berries. Heavy and sticky.

Pours a cloudy golden amber with fizzy head. Aromas of berries, light citrus, and malt. Flavor starts malty with a touch of hops then goes straight sweet berry finish.

Bottle - Butterscotch and plum. Clearish copper gold with a small white head. Sweet, grape, raspberry and more sweetness. Very odd and fruity, not like a barleywine at all.

weihenweizen (3824) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - NOV 1, 2015
Refrigerated 12.7 oz. green bottle poured a glass. Opaque orangish red. Aroma is raspberry, medium body, low carbonation, and pretty good small-bubble lacing. Taste is caramel, raspberry, alcohol, and some orange.

Bouteille 37.5cl, BB 25/06/2023.

Borup (14460) - Albertslund, DENMARK - SEP 11, 2015
From tap at Mikkeller & Friends. Hazy brown colour with an off-white head. Aroma and flavour of malt, alcohol, vanilla, oak, spice, caramel and bitterness.

Johnstledger8 (1190) - Dublin, IRELAND - SEP 5, 2015
Bottle. Pours reddish orange with a mostly lasting off white head, very little light getting through it. Lacing around the glass. Aroma of orange, raspberry, vinegar, some alcohol notes, pine. Taste is of more orange, raspberry, forest fruits, woody, long sweet slightly tart finish. Soft carbonation, oily mouthfeel. Alcohol is well hidden, really nice barleywine.

4.2
Beerhammaren (1793) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - AUG 17, 2015
.33l bottle @ Hanniku’s Cave. Pours nice cloudy orange with thick head. Aroma is raspberry, malts, bread, vinegar, caramel notes, fruits, citrus fruits, red berries, wild strawberries, hint of liquorice and some alcohol. Flavor is raspberries, wine like, vinegar notes, strawberries, grape fruits, lemon notes, citrus fruits, hops, some orange (or is it the citrus?). Easy to drink, berry and raspberry aftertaste. Swell!
