Bottle from Mogwai Bar & Mat. Pours black with a small brown head. Smell is acidic and gives a nice intro to the beer. Taste is complex and deep. Some chocolate and vanilla. Palate is a bit thin. Overall a really nice beer and a complex feeling.

(On tap @ Mikkeller Bar Viktoriagade, Jan 8 2015) Pours black with a medium tan head that lingers and leaves lace. Aroma of dark raw chocolate and smoky chili pepper spice. Moderate roast with coffee notes. Quite dry nose. Palate quite dry as well with raw unsweetened cacao chocolate, lightly nutty, black coffee with a dash of sugar, toasted coconut, chili smokiness building from the middle on. Some pepper heat and alcohol heat on the finish, softly smoky, dry but fairly light roast. Medium full slick body with moderate carb. On the dry side for an impy stout which is amplified by the chili character. Very nice drinkable stout. barbillon (54) - Pesaro, ITALY - JAN 18, 2015
birra spettacolare!! Aroma intenso tostato. In bocca è un esplosione con toni affumicati nel finale. colore bellissimo con schiuma cremosa color capuccino!! Veramente una grand bella bevuta. Grazie Marco!

Aroma: vanilla, milk, chilli, chocolate; Appearance: dark brown, minimal brown foamy head, intense lacing; Taste: intense sweetness, medium sourness, medium bitterness; Palate: long finish, thick texture, medium body, soft carbonation
After a few sips the chilli peppers kick in and grab a hold on the drinker. It could be more roasted and show a thicker body. Still, it’s another exceptional brew of To Ol. abemorsten (3683) - Mosterøy, NORWAY - DEC 29, 2014
Sampler at What’s Brewing 2014, Stavanger. Clear deep mahogany body with no head. Liquorice, raisin and booze on the nose. Sweet, fruity flavors, alco warm in the mouth and notes of liquorice present. Full bodied and flat. Huhzubendah (3775) - Washington DC, USA - DEC 28, 2014
Bottle shared by ygtbsm94. Thanks Brad.
Served alongside the cognac version.
Black body with a thin, wispy, beige head. Chocolate and roast aroma with some char notes. Sweet and dry with tons of chocolate, finishing with warming alcohol. Distinctly European in style. Rich chocolate cake. I’m having difficulty picking out any chilis - perhaps they have faded. There is a subtle spice character throughout, however. Still, quite tasty. I give a slight nod to the cognac variant. yngwie (17284) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 28, 2014
Bottle. It pours an almost black body, at least dark, dark brown in color, and with more or less no head. The aroma is on the roasted side, almost burnt, with cocoa, some dark chocolate and a boozy touch. The mouthfeel has booze at first, then the chilies go to work, playing with the tip of my tongue. Roasted malts and cocoa. Full body, oily and with a low level of carbonation. Lasting finish with some chili. Like it, but it’s too one-dimensional. In a way. 141228 motelpogo (8031) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - DEC 26, 2014
on tap at braukunst live 2014. pretty close to black with a modest but lingering brown head; aroma has a hint of smoky chipotle with some coffee and licorice; mellow texture; modest heat, some cigarette ash, caramel, medium bitterness. works pretty well
