Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to Rocket Rudkin. Dark brown beer, decent mid tan head. Palate is light and semi dry. Good fine carbonation. Smooth mellow dark malts dry, mild dark character. Mild bretty floralness. Distinct dry dark chocolate. Light brandy. Touch of spicy orange. Light semi dry finish. Pretty good.
Bottle shared in London - thanks to Colin. Pours oily black-brown with a light, foamy tan head. The nose holds some dark fruits, grape, cocoa, char, mild vanilla. Big sweet flavor with some dark fruits, oily chocolate, light smoke, charred earth. Full bodied with fine carbonation and chewy texture. Warming finish with lots of sticky burnt sugars, lots of dried dark fruits, chocolate. Quite nice overall. Rasmus40 (22050) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - NOV 23, 2013
