375. ml. no bottling date. Big nose is a nice blend of licorice, dark chocolate, espresso, raisin, dates, bread and soy. Deep black pour with a lasting disc of cream that looks like nitro. Flavors of dates, soy, prickly green herb, charred drift wood, banana, mild chili pepper, earthy cocoa and espresso. The chili is not overly evident at first but the capsiacin tingle grows and provides a nice balance to the big dessert flavors in this one. Medium-heavy body never gets sticky and is super drinkable. The dark malts, chilies and licorice hide the abv well. BHMarc (12) - - OCT 23, 2017
Dark, rich Imperial Stout with great complexity. Malt, bitter sweet chocolate , spices. Chilies add great flavor and enhance the malt and chocolate, but the beer is not at all spicy. Mild Smokey character.

Learninbeer (669) - Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA - JUN 8, 2017
The aroma is malts, caramel, coffee/chocolate and hints of chili peppers. Pours dark brown with mostly lasting tan head and excellent lacing. The taste is sweet and a touch bitter. The body is medium/full, the texture creamy, the carbonation lively and the finish long. Very good, tastes of chocolate, slight coffee and chilli peppers. A little late burn, seems more alcohol than peppers, but very good flavors.

Bottle shared with Esp0r and simonsen at the Beer & Boardgames in the woods trip 2016. Black body with a small tanned head. Roasted aroma with chocolate and chipotle, mild smoky, sweet licorice. Taste is fullbodied, dark roast and cocoa, heavy on licorice, light salty, plums, with a roasted mild burning finish. Very nice. Ron (4259) - Rochester, New York, USA - MAY 6, 2017
Bottle. Pours nearly black with a dark beige head; aroma is licorice, malt, and vanilla with hints of wood. Taste is sweet with licorice, alcohol, roasted malt, and chocolate with hints of wood and vanilla; finish is bitter and slightly dry. Surprised the alcohol was not hidden better. 375 ml bottle into snifter, no bottle dating. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger dense tan head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, toffee, vanilla, fudge, cream, licorice, and toasted dark bread; with lighter notes of nuttiness, smoke, chile peppers, molasses, leather, tobacco, and roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, licorice, and light chile pepper notes; with great strength. Taste of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, toffee, vanilla, fudge, cream, licorice, and toasted dark bread; with lighter notes of nuttiness, smoke, chile peppers, molasses, leather, tobacco, and roast/toasted earthiness. Mild roast bitterness and slight chile spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, toffee, vanilla, fudge, cream, licorice, toasted dark bread, light pepper/smoke/molasses, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while, Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, licorice, and light chile pepper flavors; with a nice roasted bitter/sweet balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Minimal dryness. Light-medium carbonation and full body; with a very smooth, rich, and creamy/silky/velvety mouthfeel that is insane. Alcohol is insanely well hidden with minimal warming on the finish. Slight hint of pepper heat creeps in on the finish through the glass. Overall this is an amazing spiced imperial stout! All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, licorice, and light chile pepper flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the huge ABV. Amazingly rich, decadent, complex all around; with an unreal mouthfeel. A highly enjoyable offering.
