3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Interesting earthy hops aromas, pine, citrus and the added roasted coffee notes really make it unique. It pours a deep orange/ light brown color with light head retention. The taste is like somebody hopped the hell out of my coffee. It has some real nice bitterness, a little bit of sweetness up front and some umami. It is medium to full bodied and has some warmth to it as well from the high ABV. It’s more like a black IPA than a regular but this beer couldn’t fit neatly into any category.
One of my favorite beers I have had this year if you like coffee and IPAs this one is for you. Pour in dark Amber with a thick tan head that lingers and sticks to the glass. Aroma is coffee and citrus. A full body beer that has tons of coffee and still drinks easy for 10.5%. Hope to find more. oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - OCT 31, 2015
Bottled (backlog). Amber colour with some haze and a small creamy slightly off-white head. Aroma is fruty, coffeeish, floral, some toffee and mild wood. Flavour is bigtime coffee, some fruity and floral hops along with mild toffee and caramel. also some slight alcohol sweetness to it. martjoobolut (5359) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - AUG 23, 2015
From the very old notes, hence this is not a real rating, but more just a mark to myself that I have tried this at one point. Nice hoppy brew with a lots of coffee in it. Gerbeer (4155) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 2, 2015
330 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy dark amber with dark sediment. Aromas of sweet malts, dried oranges, forest and coffee. The later I think just cause the label says so. Flavors are similar with an emphasis on bitter coffee and piney hops. Definite coffee in the flavor. An odd but interesting barley wine. onceblind (10889) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAY 23, 2015
Murky dark copper with a thin rocky off-white head. Lovely and interesting nose reminiscent of a barleywine--earthy chewy toffee malts, loads of citrus and leafy hop resins, and a bit of sumptuous coffee...quite nice. Delightful flavor that’s very barleywine esque, but balanced by a nice juicy hop bitterness featuring some orange flesh and piney hop bitterness that quickly gets a dose of roast, coffee, raisin and chewy dark toffee. Quite nicely balanced. The dude at the beer store told me not to rate this as it was 3 years old (!), but screw that, it’s tasty, and deserves praise, if nothing else than for holding up so damn well.

12 oz bottle pour. Pours a bright copper orange color with a big foam head. Caramel malt, subtle hops and mild coffee aroma. Coffee headlined flavor with a nice roast. Drinks nice and easy. Finishes slightly bitter. Everything I love and expect from coffee beers. Nice to see an IIPA fit in with the other greats. Nicely done. nihtila (4006) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 12, 2015
13.6.2014. Aroma is quite complex with notes from different styles, malts, raisin, coffee, ripe fruits, ground, some barley wine. Taste is a bit strange. Cold coffee, malts, oily mouthfeel. Coffee is quite intense but still drinks quite easily, especially for the abv. Quite complex and nice, still not sure if its worth the price. Stuu666 (15248) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 10, 2015
Bottle at Craig’s. Pours hazy amber, aroma and taste of pine and coffee, can’t really taste the fuckfinger though...

Poured from a bottle. Hazy Amber with foamy tan head. Bready malts and piney hops dominate. A hint of coffee - nothing overwhelming. Sweet, but followed with a healthy dose of piney bitterness. Smooth, full body. Nice DIPA, but not as much coffee as I was expecting. Ibrew2or3 (8913) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - JAN 31, 2015
33cl bottle pours with an opaque copper to gold body that supports a nice looking tan head of foam. The aroma offers up malts, malt sweetened pine hops, a bit of coffee, faint chili pepper and then earthy vegetables at the end of the draw. The taste starts with smooth sweet malts and then malt sweetened pine hops, a mild chili pepper note and then a modest degree of coffee. The malt sweetened pine, candied grapefruit and building coffee notes drive straight into the finish. Pretty nice where the huge ABV is pretty well hidden.
