Bottle received via Secret Santa Winter 2014. Pours lightly hazy tawny with a medium, frothy and rocky off-white head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is sweet toast, honey, and cookie malt with plums, cherries, earthy and citrus, dank hops and light alcohol notes. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, medium citrus, dank, and floral hops, medium bitterness, dates and stone fruit with a sweet finish. Medium-full body and medium carbonation.

Swaroga (2213) - Warszawa, POLAND - MAR 31, 2015
This is one of the most easy to drink barley wines I’ve had so far. Has a soft and smooth mouth feel. Great looking head and lots of druity aromas with honey and tart. Lots of boiled, candied and dried fruits in the flavor. Plus some fresh citrus. Good stuff. Not a heavy Barley Wine one would expect from this style though.

ej (1330) - Hauglandshella, NORWAY - MAR 25, 2015
Bottle shared with BBGTC. Pours a deep golden with a small top. Aroma of pale malts and caramel. Hints of vanilla. Taste is sweet but not overly so. Light bitter grassy notes. Pretty decent with well integrated / hidden alcohol. Full body and softly carbonated.

Aroma: malty, roasted malts, dried fruits, sweet. Appearance: clear copper color, nice cream head. Taste: medium bitterness, caramel, sweet, cherry, smooth, alcohol is well covered. Palate: full body (oily texture) and low carbonation, sweet finish. Overall: Classical English Barley Wine. Really oily and quite sweet, but still drinkable. Enjoying.

12. 7 oz bottle from the Party Source at home. Pours a hazy reddish/orange/amber color with a thin off white head. The aroma and flavor have caramel, dark fruits, alcohol heat is warming as it goes down, but not overly boozy, some herbal notes, figs, good, not great.

Renobob (2064) - Besançon, FRANCE - JAN 6, 2015
Bue en bouteille de 37,5cl. Nez abricot prune. Au palais, amertume houblonnée, bois, sucre candi, pêche. Complexité énorme, plusieurs niveaux de dégustation. Finale puissante sur le bois et la vanille.
