COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is our attempt of substituting the morning mochaccino coffee with a beer. You get the nicely roasted chocolate malts, some creamy lactose for the milk and a shot of nutty espresso coffee in your mug. And then some alcohol, it seemed just as obvious as vodka in a white russian. We do not recommend opting for this beer instead of coffee (all the time...) – Original “The Monday Morning Mochaccino Messiah”

Ingredients: Water, Malted barley, flaked oats, lactose, Hops (Simcoe, Citra, Nelson Sauvin, Centennial), coffee and Yeast.

Bottle at home. Pours dark brown with medium head. Smells intensely of fresh ( expensive ) roasted black coffee. Tastes follows with amazing coffee taste, dark caramels, cocoa. There is good bitterness to the beer, slight sweetness at the end. I love it.

Aus der Flasche getrunken (aus dem Weihnachtskalender von To Øl). Schwarzbraun mit intensiver Schaumkrone. Stark dominierende Kaffeearomen in der Nase und im Antrunk.

Tap at Jopen Waarderpolder. Clear dark brown with beige head. Lots of nuts, dark chocolate, sweet coffee, mocca. Lots of coffee candy and dark cocoa basically. Over medium sweet and medium bitter. Medium bodied. Nice one!

Tap at Jopen Proeflokaal far away from the center. Black with creme head. Big roasted chocolate malts, coffee, barley, caramel, berries, light roasted hazelnut. Moderate sweet and quite a deep roastiness, mild bitter. Medium body, soft carbonation and creamy feel. Good coffee beer!

Drank with Rik in at Pivo 100 in Bratislava before we did the tasiting 08-02-2017. Very nice beer. Soft creaminess, a bit coffee and sweetness. Rich, full taste.

Aroma:
Medium aroma of malts, caramel, chocolate, nuts, mocha, roasted malts and coffee.

Appearance:
Turbid/opaque ruby/dark brown beer with heavy yeast and with a medium beige head.

Taste/Palate:
Starts medium/heavy sweet with malts, caramel, chocolate, nuts and mocha; ends slightly bitter and dry with roasted malts and coffee.

Overall:
This beer is intense, complex and balanced. Amazing idea to bring lactose and coffee? together in a Brown Ale. Great appearance, flavour and palate; but the aroma could have been stronger. All those hops are definitely needed, but are never distinctly noticeable.

Bardzo przyjemny aromat: paloność, kawa, mleczna czekolada, shake czekoladowy, laktoza. W smaku dominuje kawa i laktoza. Nie jest źle, ale brakuje tu ciała, jest wręcz wodniście.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a very dark brown to opaque with a small off-white to beige head and an aroma of coffee, roasted malts, chocolate, toffee and cherries. Medium sweet taste with a bitter finish and some sugarry sweetness sticking to the lips.

33 cl bottle - Although I am a coffee and beer lover, I did not think too much of this beer. A bit too bitter and not enough body to get me going. Nice beige foam however.

Draft - Big and rich espresso and chocolate notes. Jet brown with a decent beige head. Big and perfumy dark roast coffee. Big, roasty and nice sweetness and along complex fruity finish. Well done.
