This is our attempt of substituting the morning mochaccino coffee with a beer. You get the nicely roasted chocolate malts, some creamy lactose for the milk and a shot of nutty espresso coffee in your mug. And then some alcohol, it seemed just as obvious as vodka in a white russian. We do not recommend opting for this beer instead of coffee (all the time...) – Original “The Monday Morning Mochaccino Messiah”

Ingredients: Water, Malted barley, flaked oats, lactose, Hops (Simcoe, Citra, Nelson Sauvin, Centennial), coffee and Yeast.

330ml bottle from El Irlandés. Pours a reddish brown/mahogany color with a big off-white creamy head that doesn’t diminish. Aroma is as malty as it can get. Roasted notes of coffee, burnt caramelized sugars, roasted almonds and nuts. A second layer brings to mind whole-grain dark bread, chocolate powder, fresh coffee berries and milk. Taste is yummy, with moderate sweetness, milky and chocolatey flavors rounded up by a strangely fresh taste of non-roasted coffee grains. Really full and well integrated. Medium body, carbonation is spritzy at first but then the mouthfeel is smooth. Low alcohol presence. Leaves some warming in the end. Fantastic beverage crafted by To Øl.

7%ABV. Brown. Tapped out black-brown. 38 SRM. Nose has some sweet charcoal and ripe dark fruit. Hint of coffee. Mouthfeel is watered honey. Palate has figs, honeyed dates. Hint of burnt twig astringency. But overall the palate has a lot of sweet fruitiness. Finish is burnt sugar with a little bit of lingering syrup leavened with charcoal bitter.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with a fair red hue and a thick brown foam residing. Scent is medium dense notes of brown ale and cocoa properties. Taste is smooth cocoa, floral and surprisingly light. Dense on the palate and smooth. A bit sticky. Bitterness from coffee. Mature but simple. Good.

33cl bottle. Dark red-brown color. This has a chocolate and caramel malt aroma with a bit of alcohol. Rich malty flavor, a creamy mouthfeel and nice coffee bitterness. Good beer.

A big coffee nose. An Americano with one sugar complimented by good malt flavour. Rated by BrewTom

Pours a very dark brown with a huge frothy tan khaki head that leaves a lot of lacing. The aromas were a little lacking but consisted of caramel and roasted malt. Flavors are made of nuts, coffee, caramel and some milk. A creamy and fairly light body with a bitter and dry finish. This was more sweet stout-like than it was brown ale but delicious nonetheless.

Megnyerő ábrázatú ital, sötét kólaszínű testén tojáshéj habkorona ékeskedik, festeni sem lehetne szebb brown ale-t. Édeskés, pörkölt malátás, barnacukros illatai csalogatóan hatnak, ám az élmény a kortyolást követően válik teljessé. Hosszú kávés, alaposan megédesített, karakteresre pörkölt aromái visszafogott súlyú testben találnak otthonra, összességében azonban kellemes élményt nyújtanak, könnyedén fogyasztható, mégis ízletes karaktert alkotnak.

colui72 (1055) - HONG KONG - MAY 12, 2017
Pours brown getting close to black in the glass, big but fast fading beige head, lot f lacing. Aroma is roasted malts and strong coffee. Taste is very rich of espresso coffee, with roasted malts and chocolate, heavy hoppy bitterness. Sticky, full body, soft carbonation, long bitter finish. Very well made "breakfast beer", deep and tasty, close to a stout. Lovely.
