This is our attempt of substituting the morning mochaccino coffee with a beer. You get the nicely roasted chocolate malts, some creamy lactose for the milk and a shot of nutty espresso coffee in your mug. And then some alcohol, it seemed just as obvious as vodka in a white russian. We do not recommend opting for this beer instead of coffee (all the time...) – Original “The Monday Morning Mochaccino Messiah”

Ingredients: Water, Malted barley, flaked oats, lactose, Hops (Simcoe, Citra, Nelson Sauvin, Centennial), coffee and Yeast.

(33 cl bottle from Bjergtrolden) Pours dark brown with medium, tan head and heavy lace. Decent retention. Aroma is ashtray and coffee. Oily texture, medium body, soft carbonation and bitter, roasted finish. Taste is not sweet, roasted and a slightly herbal bitterness. Aroma less pleasant than the espresso "stout" but the taste is slightly more pleasing. Head gets nicely creamy when you swirl the beer around in the glass a bit. Nice touch. Girlfriend says: "I prefer the other one."

Piwo w stylu ktorego niezbyt lubie. Kolor brazowo bordowy, mnostwo w aromacie kawy zmieszanej z grejfrurem z chmieli from US. Ja pijam kawe espresso i bez zadnych dodatkow. Tu mam slodka kawe w dodatku jakby z mlekiem.

Bottle at home, bought at Hopduvel, I believe. Best Brown Ale I’ve had, but I love coffee. Caramel, coffee, complements nicely, very well done.

Aug. ’16. A 0.33 l bottle at Craft Room, Zagreb. This one poured almost a black body with quite a big head, off white of course. Cocoa-coffee aroma, very pleasant. Flavor was lightly sweet, although it could be said it was coffee dominated, this was balanced out nicely with caramel, cocoa, fruity toasted malt, and chalky lactic note. Some subtle bitterness grown up later on, taking a big part in its long finish. Otherwise, of course, it followed the pleasant coffee-cocoa profile. Full bodied, very tasty, well elaborated.

Draft - Big and rich espresso and chocolate notes. Jet brown with a decent beige head. Big and perfumy dark roast coffee. Big, roasty and nice sweetness and along complex fruity finish. Well done.

Bottle. Teku. Deep brown with big, thick, light brown head. Perfect head retention and lacing. Aroma are moderate roasted malts - mainly coffee (espresso), also light nutty and caramel notes. Taste is medium bitter esp. in the end of degustation and aftertaste. Partly lightly acidic profile (probably due to coffee). Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, finish is bitter, semi-dry with some caramel notes. In general nicely hopped brown ale, another one, which shows that this style could not be so boring ;)

Aroma: chocolate and sweet malt. Flavour: Chokolate with sweet fruits and caramel notes. Aftertaste is fairly bitter but well balanced with the sweetness. Colour: dark brown with a tan head.
