Bottle from Systembolaget Torp/Udelvalla shared with Simonsen & CarstenBragesnak (5393) - Aarhus, DENMARK - JUL 29, 2013
Pours almost black with a nice brown head. Smells of muscavo sugar, coffee, roasted malts, booze and oak. Medium sweet, honey, coffee, roast, coffee, bourbon and oak. Moderate bitter finish. Quite exquisite, the barrel aging has been implemented quite well in this one. Smooth light oily texture
Black with beige head. Aroma of roasted malt. Flavour with alcohol, liqourice and sweetness. Einar_Dahle (4) - NORWAY - JUL 27, 2013 does not count
God som avslutning til sjokoladedessert. Fin balanse mellom sødme og bitterhet som gjør at alkoholen skjules godt. jredmond (8839) - New York, New York, USA - JUL 25, 2013
Draft at Torst with Clockwork and Joel. Pours a black body with no head, thin brown lacing. Aroma is dark roast, sweet chocolate and a light earthiness. Mouthfeel is full and rich with lots of sweet chocolate and rich fudge coming through; subsequent notes of oak, earth and roast. Not too much bourbon character noted. Alcohol content well managed.

Nice barrel character, sweetness of honey, rich stout not overpowering alcohol Cool_Bond (2845) - KUNG_AV_OL @ Instagram, SWEDEN - JUL 23, 2013
Weak odor. The taste is really good. Not too dry, which is good. Not too strong. Weak taste. I’m a little impressed anyway by this beer. Perfectly okay to drink. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings. Simonsen (1314) - NORWAY - JUL 16, 2013
Flaske fra systembolaget .svart tjære farget. Medium karbonert.brunt skum. Oljeaktig viskositet. Smaker røstet malt, kaffe,tjære,rosin, alkohol, tre bourbon, sjokolade og honning. Veldig god Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 9, 2013
Very dark Brown pour, clear around the edges and topped by a creamy beige foam. Heavy roast reaches the nose immediately accompanied by abundant Bourbon, but headed definitely more toward the more pleasant blueberry/strawberry fruity side than corny vegetal one. Generous vanilla all around. For a barrel-aged ale, the mouthfeel is rich, almost creamy with a particularly refined and smooth carbonation. It is fairly sweet though and the forward alcohol enhances the feeling further. Limited hop presence, barely a balancing presence in the finish which is laden with raisin, chocolate and especially anise notes. A solid example of the style, partly due to its fruity, more vinous nature than most and also largely due to its silky and round seducive texture. JorisPPattyn (10112) - BELGIUM - JUL 9, 2013
Huge, dark tan head, dense & stable, over virtually black beer. Coffee, hops, exotic fruit, Bourbon. Bitter, coffee, chocolate in the finish. Bourbon & vanilla obvious, also in the finish predominantlly. Quite complex, more than the pure description would led to believe. Quite slick; viscous, lots of alcoholheat. Nice, complex, rewarding, if not a real revelation.
