Bottled, from Systembolaget. Black with rich beige head. Aroma of salty licorice. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Mostly salmiak flavour, rather fierce peppery alcohol in a finish with some resiny bitterness. Dominated by salmiak and alcohol. Below average imperial stout, even for those produced at de Proef. madmitch76 (25568) - , Essex, ENGLAND - OCT 8, 2013

Opaque dark brown beer with good tan head. Palate is airy and dry. Dry and bitter dark malt. Bitter coffee and a bitter hops. Dry finish. Bitter roasty burned aftertaste. What a disappointment. Tiny bit of malt cream. Bitter licorice. A harsh beer!
