Bottle at home - Tasting. Pitch black - offwhite head. Acid. Fruity. Coffee. Voflet. Nougat. Softice. High malty. Light light licorice.
Interesting imperial stout from To Øl, mildly sweet with subtle but discernible notes of pineapple and coffee, a restrained mix of fruit with a more straightforward dark-n-roasty stout profile. Unsweetened chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, cherry, anise, and raisin all swirl around the pineapple, while the java grows more potent and acidic on the back end. Fade brings up coffee cherries and dark chocolate. Grows sweeter as it warms, but never oppressively so. Pours a thick black with a large brown head and massive lacing. Clear dark black brown colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark malt, roasted - coffee, chocolate, sweet malt, light pineapple. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, pineapple, chocolate, smoke, dark malt - coffee. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. Teku. Pitch black with moderate, thick, frothy, light brown head. Good head retention and very good lacing. Moderately to heavy roasted malts aroma - dark, rich chocolate, coffee, earthy, some raisins in the background. Light to moderate pineapple, quite fresh. Taste is moderately sweet and moderately to highly bitter - intensifies thru the degustation. Light acidic - partly caffe-like malts and pineapple. Medium to full body, oily texture, soft carbonation, finish is tasted, acidic, bitter.
